Qualification called off and no more track activity for the day. Will tomorrow's practice session now be qualifying instead?

Honestly I have no idea how he didn't. Think the marshal stand might have stopped him?

Lack of info on the marshal's who were stationed there is very worrying.

"Five marshals injured in the accident. Four have minor injuries, the fifth hospitalised and is in a stable condition".

Relief to hear. Wishing both Chaz and the marshal who was sent to hospital, a speedy recovery.

my missus called me at work and said that there's (what's left of) a pepsi max car on the track with half a shell missing and no wheels, usually i'd be happy for this to happen but that was a massive off, just glad all are ok

watching that video on twitter made me feel deadset crook - you can see his left leg go limp after the impact

There is no benefit to that massive solid gear shifter right next to the driver. As we can now all see - in a big shunt it is only going to cause injury.

That was one of the craziest accidents I've seen. Car spun 10x times, ripped off the frame like it was nothing and caught on fire.

According to reports he's suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung. Brutal indeed but it could have been so much worse.

Freakin rain ruined qualifying. Could it have waited another ten minutes? Tander down in 22nd.
