Because they've so vocally nailed their colours to the mast, and they haven't got a big enough pair of nuts to admit they were wrong, or even that they might have been right in earlier years, and that he's now living up to his early promise.

He was really pushing him to go to Nth Queensland.

I hope Val realised he might not have had an NRL career if it wasn’t for the Sharks.

The Cowboys knocked him back as a junior.

Townsville is a f**king shit hole. I left 8 years ago and went back for a couple of weeks for work and it’s went down the drain.

Val might get some nostalgia visiting for a few days but a couple weeks in summer and he’ll be signing with us.
