Lucky me heading to Vegas in a couple of weeks. Will be there for Magic Round and want to catch the Sharks game. Will be 1230am Saturday morning, perfect peak time out and about on the strip…

Any tips on where to watch in the Strip? Staying at the Flamingo and running solo for a few nights waiting for some mates to turn up a few days later.

Haven’t been in a long time - meant to still be off the wall, but a bit more pricey $$$. 10 bucks a coffee US I’ve heard.
As far as the game, I’ll check in with a mate there in the catering game and I’ll get back to you.

Mate Sydney Caesar reckons not many options - definitely can get NRL games at McMullans Irish Pub.
Try Beer Park (just cause it’s nuts) or English pub, Crown and Anchor.
He said to me regardless of where you go to check in with the venue as they will mostly try to help.

I've done Vegas once or twice a year the last decade for work bar 2021. It is the exact same place every time which I love but now when I go I never really leave my hotel/near by. I was at the Flamingo last year for an event. There is an irish pub downstairs at their sister hotel that is connected. There was like 5-6 of us but even if we were alone you'd make friends there and play beer pong and have a good time. Caesars is across the road and the sports bar there is epic. I was there in July with a Souths fan and we couldn't find NRL anywhere. But I am sure it can be done. We were at Beer park during the sharkies game but couldn't find it on a screen.

Go for a walk down the strip. My fav burger place is Shake Shack which is like a 20 minute walk. Everything looks close on the strip but the walks take way longer than expected due to crowds, the f**ken size of the place and lights. The shops across from the Bellagio are probably the best for general stuff (usa sports that sorta thing) otherwise get a taxi to the outlets. There are a ton of cool sports memorabilia places around that can make the trip. I got a photo with Mike Tyson once and he made a joke to my mrs to join in the photo and call it a family photo. Whatever you want sir. Top golf is a 5-10 minute taxi from yours and even if you don't like golf is worth it for the female staff. Just go to a shop, grab a few beers and go for a 2-3 hour walk. You'll love it.

Enjoy it!

Yeah, Id be happy just to watch Sharks games without travelling too far away from my boring Macadamia trees. Sometimes ABC grandstand doesnt even come in too good.

Sure but a bloke is going there on a holiday so why shit on it? Same logic could be used for any restaurant or beach. You could also say the same for the entire states. Or anything outside of Cronulla to me really. Give me the RSL and a walk home along the beach any day.

BUT LASTLY WHATS WRONG WITH HOOKERS AND GAMBLING?! We should have more of this!

Bah about $300 a night for normal (nice, admittedly) accommodation on the Strip. Resort fees on top of that!!
30% Taxes taken out on any pokie win over $1200 US.
Mass shooting every day somewhere in America.
Covid thriving, spreading and killing amongst the anti-vaxxers.
Vegas sucks nowdays.

Blondies in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood is good for NRL games.

Oh and in the little explored regions of the white mountains I could tell you of a Secret stream ,in a meadow above the Bristlecone pine forrest where you can catch WILD trout by mearly throwing a no two gold sparkling hook in the sparkling clear freezing cold water and steering it under a bank. You have to hike in . We had burros, had to negotiate a rock slide . Saw Mountain lion scat , Beaver dams ,Bigger fish, but we had plenty to eat, didn't have time ,and Deer but didnt get any . Anyway ... Have fun on the one arm bandits .. Aint giving no more hints. Lost wages -- Kaching!!!!! three lemons ! Haha !
