i have to ask...how the hell do you fix your game in PL when 1st grade is alot tougher (no im not saying you are wrong)
People we have to remember Witt came off shoulder surgery in the off-season so of course he will be PLAYING CRAP. Tell me after Dykes had surgery was he playing brilliantly...NO
so get off Witts back the guy is trying his heart out with a damn sore shoulder and how the hell can Kativerata get better when pratically you are all bagging him
I know I used to bag him but I watched an old Souths game and he played well...double how he is playing now. You cant really fix things in PL when its not the same as 1st grade...give the guy time he will shine (for cricket supporters he's like Damien Martyn just will shine alot faster then Marto did)

also I know Burt is good but I think Ash is a better fullback (but I'd still be happy to see Burty there)
put Ash at fullback and put Burt with Grothe...that should terrorise most sides :D

When Graham does return. The backs as MPE said get a lot stronger. If Jamie also comes back then at least 1 good player will miss out

With No Graham and NO Lyon

1. Burt
2. Kativerata
3. Petersen
4. Vaealiki
5. Grothe

With Lyon but NO Graham

1. Burt
2. Petersen
3. Lyon
4. Vaealiki
5. Grothe

With Lyon AND Graham
1. Graham/Burt
2. Burt/Petersen
3. Lyon
4. Vaealiki
5. Grothe

If you check the stats for the game Vella was about 3rd in our tackle count.

Thats a big improvement from last week, but it does not tell you how many he missed.

wise is a great player.
parra are good at picking up rejects from top teams, wise from souths, petersen from nth qld.

although petersen is a good player

Parra's back 5, with no injuries should be

1. Ashley Graham
2. Luke Burt
3. Vaeleki (or lyon if the pussy ever comes back)
4. Matt Petersen
5. Eric Grothe

AND GET RID OF DYKES. i hope that bastard rots in hell 4 leaving the sharks and then having his career go downhill from there

Hahaha!!!

Bitter are we?

1. Jamie's not a pussy. Leave him alone.

2. Dykes is all class. I lked him ever since I saw him at the Sharks.

he missed 4 tackles i am pretty sure. Check out NRL.com.au live stats. They are the goodies.

didn't the Cowboys finish ahead of the Sharks last year?

and just like almost every other team in the NRL they will win the comp before Cronulla.

Vella missed 2 tackles against the Broncos which is a far better effort than the 4 missed tackles he came up with the week before.

based on that Vella is looking at either 1 or 0 missed tackles this week (depending on which way you look at it)

I think the thing with Vella is that he just LOOKS as though he is playing crap and the figures may not accurately reflect the way he is playing.

He was all over the shop on Sunday and it cant be good for team morale to have him being smashed even though on paper it doesnt look too bad

In his prime there looked like something was going to hapen when V got the ball but now he makes minimal metres before getting smashed! #-o #-o #-o

i felt that vella played ok on sunday. for a bloke that has been out of form for so long he didn't back down and started to run the ball with some much needed aggression.

he also made webcke take more interest in the personal battle and trying to get over the top of vella rather than playing the whole game.

hopefully that will be a turning point for his season and career. we definetely could do with a strong and fast forward with aggression to take some of the heat off hindy and caylo.
