Viable option to replace Griffin or should he stay.

Moylan is a skillful player, but has he realised his potential? Is he all that he can be?

That's the point I was getting at.

I don't agree with the Gagai v Copley arguement but I do agree Re: Moylan. He's a good player but is well below where he could/should be.

Not too sure if you can put that solely at the hands of Griffin though considering there's plenty of questions about his off field professionalism.

And please don't ever speak ill of King Moylan again.

Oh f**king hell. Griffin out signs, emails to the club, email to the media lol

Are we 14 years old?

The guy made the second week of finals last year FFS. Hardly the reign of terror people make it out to be. If we keep going the way we're going, he'll be punted this year of next anyway.

I personally hope we give it to the Sea Eagles today. I know it's a strange concept but I actually enjoy seeing my team win.

Keep your head in the sand and accepting less than what we deserve if you want. Griffin is a clown who cant coach and thats backed with his coaching history.

That stuff might be going a bit far but we shouldn't be accepting mediocrity at all. Our squad is too good for that.

You might be 14. Having a cry because people here want to see the club improved.

He made the finals last year so his failure this year with a better team is acceptable? His results mirror those he had at the Broncos... and they never got better after his first season.

Cleary was sacked for failing in 2015 and unlike Griffin he had good reason. Griffin has our best roster in years. Its performing worse than it ever did under Cleary.

I'll accept that the sign stuff may be taking it a bit too far, but it's just expressing a frustration to the current situation. Just venting.

We are supposed to be on a journey to the promised land, that will ultimately end in a premiership or two. But we've taken a wrong turn off somewhere and are currently trying to get back on to the main road, but keep trying short cuts that get us nowhere. I just don't think that Griffin is the right man to be the bus driver, and I know I'm not the only one based on this thread alone.

The sign and social media stuff works all over the world in many different sports. To argue otherwise is silly. The coach is a dud and we have stubbon and maybe out of touch Gus running the club. Griffin needs pressure put on him from any possible angle

Broncos fan here - haven't read anything else in this thread apart from the past few posts. All I have to say it, the year you guys get rid of Griffin and Wallace, you will make a grand final.

Sure Wallace is solid and I'm sure there are a lot of Penrith fans that like him. But the truth is he adds nothing offensively and is an absolute handbreak. Too slow literally and too slow in the head.

Although Griffin isn't actually that old as a coach, he's stuck in the past. His team selections are poor and he has no effective game plan.

If all it achieved was help make Gus delay the decision to re-sign him it'd be worth it.

Surely one thing we can all agree on is that Griffin does not deserve a new contract? Yet there have be musings from the club that is exactly what is going to happen.

In fact if we'd beaten the cowboys it wouldn't have surprised me if he would've announced it then.

For Griffin to get a new deal we should be top 6 at this time next year and having beaten at least a few top 8 teams.

Without a doubt. The stories would be about how he turned it all around via the "master stroke" of moving Moylan.

ANTHONY Griffin has passionately defended Penrith’s season, declaring anyone who tipped the Panthers to win this year’s premiership “have got no idea about football”.

Griffin and his players have been copping it for most of the season given the high expectations that followed their run to the finals in 2016.
Currently ninth on the NRL ladder ahead of Saturday’s important clash with in-form Manly, the Panthers still need to win at least six of their remaining nine games to make the play-offs.

Griffin admitted he was “terribly disappointed” with the 42-14 smashing by South Sydney last weekend, but that is not to say he is unrealistic about where the club is at.
“When I got here in October 2015 they had just played off for the wooden spoon against Newcastle, albeit with a lot of injuries that year,” Griffin told The Daily Telegraph.

“That is not a criticism or a statement about anyone that was here before.

“That is just where the club was. And for the first 12 or 14 rounds (last year) we fiddled around trying to find a new identity for the team.

“We found that and all of a sudden won eight out of nine games.

“So we go from that to now everyone thinks we should win a premiership every year.

“The people that put that expectation on the side, whether they are punters or tipsters, have got no idea about football.
“All of a sudden you show some potential at the back end of last year with some young guys that are capable of doing something and everyone wants to build a high rise out of an underground car park.”

Griffin also said the club has come far under Phil Gould’s leadership in respect to development and recruitment, as well as facilities off the field.

Before the loss to Souths, Penrith had won four of their last five games.

“Sure, you can be frustrated on any given Sunday,” he said.

“Like the weekend I was terribly disappointed (losing to Souths) because that is not our attitude or the way we play.

“But if you’re frustrated because you thought, ‘oh shit, we should be winning a comp by now’, you have got no idea what you are talking about.

Griffing trying to take credit for improving on 2015 without expecting we should atleast match 2016.

We have a squad with top 4 potential. Easily.

But we are going to lose the game today... and be miles away from the top 8 this year. 8 to 2 penalty count. All that possession. Field position. Yet we only lead by 8. Once stats even up we are no chance.

Our players cant do anymore than they did in that first half. No attacking structures against a good defence and it requires luck to score.

Nice work Tim Browne. He changed momentum this week. One play doesnt make a game. But whats the bet he doesnt have a momentum changer in him that favors us?

When they said there was a flood of money on the Eagles I knew we were specials. Fools and their money.
