Victory over Sharks a must: Creagh

St George Illawarra are adopting a finals mentality for Sundays crunch clash with Cronulla at WIN Stadium.
They may be only two points outside the top eight, but representative second-rower Ben Creagh concedes they can all but forget about September if they cant beat a play-offs contender like the Sharks.
Full coverage of the Dragons
The Dragons will have to win at least five - probably six - of their final eight games, given their points differential of minus 44.
Having lost six of their past eight, the premiers from just two years ago will be left to contemplate mathematical possibilities if they suffer another defeat.
Creagh admitted Sundays tussle will be a final in July.
It is a must win, yep, definitely, Creagh said.
All the games now, were in a spot where weve got to keep winning.
We cant afford to string losses together, we need to start playing some consistent footy before we head into the finals, if we want to play finals.
We want to be there in September at the end of the season.
It starts now.
The Sharks are usually painted as the underdog little brother against the powerhouse Red V, but this year, Cronulla are on track for a top-four finish.
However, the Dragons chances of victory have been boosted by injuries to Cronulla captain Paul Gallen and 2010 premiership player Jeremy Smith, now part of the Sharks rise.
If either one is out its a big loss for their side, Creagh said.
But theres some quality from the players who have played extremely well.
It wont take long on Sunday to determine if St George Illawarra are up for the fight to save their season.
Following a string of disappointing starts to games, most notably trailing 18-0 in 17 minutes against Canterbury in Wollongong last month, Creagh predicted the Dragons would burst out of the blocks on Sunday. We know ourselves were not playing our best footy and just the start to our games at the moment, he said.
