But similarly then, what is worse, a player snorting some coke up his nose on a weekend, or sexually assaulting someone? The coke guy doesn’t hurt anyone else but cops 2 years.

Different categories of offences can’t be compared
The NRL don’t issue that suspension, ASADA does. I’m pretty sure the NRL actually have a 2 or 3 strikes policy before they hand out any suspension if they catch a player with coke in their system

Parramatta is playing at the same time as the Orange side on Saturday.

Commbank will be a sell-out while the orange side will look like they are playing in a local park with a bunch a family members watching.
Hate AFL, but the GWS game will be a sell out, they’ve already pre sold more tickets than their previous highest crowd vs a non-Sydney team.

all in all a good night for sport in Sydney’s west

Yes, he may be offended and that’s his right but f**k these modern day players are sooks. And Latrell making comment and stoking the fire makes me just shake my head.
Paul Kent nailed it on 360 last night.

Latrell and others shouldn't be commentating on the situation about the length of suspension until the case is heard.

Spencer deserves the book & kitchen sink thrown at him if guilty.

But i recall souths and Latrell whinging a few years back when he smashed Manu's head in and he missed a GF that they were crying foul the media influenced the outcome before the hearing was heard demanding a 6-7 week suspension which eventually happened.

I think Knights win tonight at home in front of big crowd.

Raiders are the big sliders for mine this year.

I wonder what Round we will see Ricky get his 1st whinge out for the season.

A hard one to pick, as I think the packs even themselves out...

But I think Knights have more to offer in their spine than the Raiders, and the home crowd might lift them to get the result.

I want to apologise after my club wrote out word for word what to say....
The “I didn’t mean it in the racial way” line is laughable.

in the heat of battle, no one is called someone a monkey, they are using one of about 10 other swear words.

I’ve never even heard an adult call another one a monkey in a playful way, maybe to a child “you silly monkey” but that’s it.

It was said as he intended it - and I hope he gets wiped out for 2 months

It's hard to know what the bloke's intent was. I dunno where Spencer grew up but I do know some chaps from Auckland who use the term in a jovial and not intendedly racist manner to other adults (generally to their mates, and yeh as 'you silly monkey'). But....Spencer had every opportunity to come clean and apologise on the field, and he clearly didn't do that.
