Vossyisms

I missed the games last night, but I can just picture the Fittler-esque commentary.

As for Vossy, I reckon he's awesome, I don't understand the hatred towards him.

I reckon MG should get another gig as a commentator, he was quality.

"The Raiders forwards are playing well, Tongue, Thompson, Weyman...well Weyman isn't actually playing"

I much prefer Voss to Rabbs.

Rabbs would rather talk about the sea gulls flying over head than call the game. And fking Gould just encourages him!

Voss obviously does a lot of preparation for each game and adds value to his calls with interesting tidbits about players. Rabbits is lazy and complacent...he thinks it's funny when can't pronounce a players name, or calls a piece of play incorrectly. He's reminding me more and more of Rex Mossop in his twilight years.

I'm a big fan of Andrew Voss' calls, how can you not be when he comes up with gems like these:

"The Tigers can put their hand up an S-bend and pull out a gold watch"

:lol::lol:

We definitely share the same type of humour. Any others to share...
His problem is you read that comment and it's funny. But when he says it it suddenly becomes annoying.

Johns sounded drunk last night.
Voss is a dick.

Fittler is the man. I love the awkwardness of his jokes. eg Voss - "thai or t'ai,he doesnt mind either." Johns - "What are you going to call him?" Freddy - "Pad"

Johns: "I like Tuqiri with his hair tied back, he looks good."

Vossy: "I agree, what do you think about one of the dreadlocks hitting him in the eye."

Johns: "Haha, could see one of the locks flicking him in the eye."

Freddy: "Heh, Kevin."

i switched off the warriors game last night and decided to watch the dragons instead. after two minutes of that f**king commentary i decided to switch back to watching my team get reamed.

I think we have fair weather supporter of the year tied up!!

You are a disgrace...

Doc's a good supporter. TBH, I found it bitterly tough to watch and almost treated it as an exercise in 'it can't get any worse', when in actual fact the Warriors showed it definitely could. I wouldn't blame anyone for turning off that nonsense last night.

During the origin, 4-5 times a player lost the ball or a penalty etc. and Rabs just sat there, took Sterlo to point out to him that there had been an error.

Fittler was in fine form in the Dragons vs Raiders game last Sunday.

When Jarrod Saffy threw a wild pass in the first half that led to a try, on the replay all I remember hearing was Fittler's "ororororrrrrrrrrghhhhh"

I just get irritated when Voss starts giving all these irrelevant facts once a player has scored.

Like "The former Dapto lawn bowls greenskeeper has scored four points!"

Voss is the best commentator by far. I love him.

Rabbs is full of himself.
Johns is on drugs.
And Fittler is a joke.

It was definitely a very 'different' call last night. Vossy is one of the better comentators and did a pretty good job conisdering Fitler and Johns wanted to talk about anything but the footy. Would have been interesting to see how Rabs would have handled it lol...

I like commentators who are less than perfect. I love it when Rabs and Gould get stuck into each other. I like Vossy's random stuff. Rubbish commentary is entertaining commentary. We can see whats happening on the field, its not like we are relying solely on them to find out whats happening like you would on radio. It might not be as professional as it could be but a perfect commentator would bore the pants off me.

For some reason I cracked up when Fittler and Johns were talking about Tuqiri and Uate up against each other.

I think Fittler just said "UATE!" really pronounced for the fun of saying it.

I can see why the Roosters did so badly under Fittler.

Pearce: "What's the gameplan Freddy?"
Fittler: "Execute, play field possession and make sure you oroihfshdufh commit errors.

Anasta: "I think we should gameplan around stopping Inglis, he's a dangerous centre."
Fittler: "Heh, Darren."

The Gus Gould-Ray Warren Niggling Agro thing. It all sounds so forced, like they've been instructed to do similar to Tony Grieg and Bill Lawry

I really don't understand why Vossy is liked so much, he is the worst commentator ever.

He is so fake, anyone from these forums could do the same as him. Just get on there and pretend to be Darryl Eastlake. Good commentators have a natural voice for commentary, Voss' is so put on it's not funny.

He even copies Rabs' dumb lines about where players come from or what their parents do, "the son of a truck driver from the coalmining town goes over for a try" who gives a ****.

He is another Eddie Macguire, no talent other than persistence. I want to see someone with natural commentary talent get in there rather than someone who thought he'd want to do it from a young age and just kept pushing until he made it.
