The vinyl room is dripping with chicks/mums in the 30+ age bracket reef.

Its a pretty f**king seedy joint though......

Ive got mates 29-32 who SWEAR by Oatley Pub though. The beer garden is a gooden. Its the northies of "that" side of the world. ........i rate it.

Oatleys not a bad little suburb actually. Plenty of chicks, and plenty of parks. Its the jewel of scumtown.

It's good. I seriously considered moving there a couple of years ago - it was only that the right property never came up. In the end, I found a good place in the Shire and have never looked back. :D

Yeah when the MILFhunter tours Australia he'll surely go to the Vinyl Room

I think 30+ may be an underestimate on the age though cheese.

There's plenty of fugly 50+ grandmummies there as well.

Vinyl Room scale 1-10: 0.5

Reefy, it's a good place to be after 3,682 Schooners!

There's a new burger joint that's opened up in Gymea called Redskins Burger Hut. Not sure if many of you know about it but they have EXCELLENT burgers. Haven't tried their fish & chips yet, but if it's anything like their burgers, it's well worth it.

I'd rate them pretty close if not equal with Pauls.

You mean there are chicks in the Stain George area who don't look like they've been smacked in the face with a bowling ball?

Must be tourists...

I have a few mates who live there. They think it is very Shire-esk. They walk over the Como bridge to the shire. Still, they are just pretenders, there is no substitute for the Shire.

Lots of fascinating answers there, a great read.

Seems everyone here likes Oatley, the only reason it is tolerable is because it's the transition from the Shire to the Stain...or from God's country to the gutter. I disagree with your assessments. It's sleepy and it's a retirement village.

Thanks to a few assessments here I tried Grind coffee the other day, what a great place. BTW Pauls cant be beaten for hamburgers, deadset.

Wont bother tallying up the answers because theyre too varied. But anyone who hasnt filled it out yet, get cracking anyway!

Richard the barista loves his stuff & puts a lot of energy into every coffee.
It's a shame he's only open on weekends

Maybe in the Shire, but, in QLD there is a new Aussie franchise called Big Chiefs.
You wait till these babies get down here.
They are dead set the bomb.
I Big Chiefs Burger I reckon would even pull Cliffy up.
$7 for this big azz aussie burger with the works, chips, & drink. Cooked in front of you in 2 mins.

Oatley is my local . It is a cool little pub that gets huge on Friday & Saturday nights. No Boomchang music just great beer and a good group of laid back people . There's no attitude problems . Plenty to look at for everyone .....if you know what I mean. All age groups get up there.Awseome Pizza's " Elle " is one that gets a fair run from my mates and I.
I personally know the local die hard sharks bar fly and him and I give it to the dragons supporters any chance we can get.
Ive seen Billy Harrigon down there having a beer also Turvey and Gasnier is a local who sometimes comes down . His mates are all normal knockabout blokes.
Bung ya thongs & shorts on and get down there , its right on the train line.
I hear Friday the 13th Feb will be huge.....the band they have are great .My mate saw them play at Engadine on Saturday night and said they were the goods. Just good rock n roll . I haven't seen them yet but he's a good judge .

Nah. The Vinyl room is in Gymea. It used to be called Cascades. It is a deadset retirement home though. Wouldn't catch me in in there.

Hey can I add one.

Best italian restauraunt: Tino's. It's on the corner of Gannons and The Kingsway in the little mall there.
