Well, if you are confident the Kiwi's are foxing you can get $4.00 on them from the TAB.
Good money; if they win.

Going to be a different game with Thomas out..hopefully young Martin will get a crack.

I'm still very confident.

Yep, we haven't really shown anything that suggests we can beat them, they have been better across the park - and Meninga seems to have them well focused and improving game-by-game

I refuse to be negative. What can I say, I'm a glass half-full kind of person and being the underdog just gets me fired-up. Kiwis by anything between 1 to 13. Go the Kiwis!
Here's my team to do it:
Jordan Kahu
Jordan Rapana
Solomone Kata
Gerard Beale
David Fusitu'a
Tohu Harris
Shaun Johnson
Jesse Bromwich (c)
Issac Luke
Adam Blair
Manu Ma'u
Martin Taupau
Greg Eastwood
James Fisher- Harris
Joseph Tapine
Lewis Brown

We've beaten underprepared and undermotivated Australian sides in the past...this is not one. Mal doesn't do losing and he'll have this side bang up for it.

I'm more a realist than a pessimist, I can't see us getting close. Don't think it'll be 24+ but I can see 24-6 or something like that where we don't have a sniff all game. To win, our forwards would need to aim up a LOT more than they have been (remember how excited we were pre-tour??) and SJ will have to have the game of his life given he won't have much attacking help from the rest of the spine.

your last 2 sentences are spot on. our forwards aiming up and sj having the game of his life
both not impossible infact both are overdue
if the first one happens then the 2nd will fall into place nicely
we need to mix it up. upset them, unsettle them
hell even let manu mau or taupau throw a couple to put the aussies in a different mindset

Just managed to bring myself to rewatch the game. Really liked the involvement from Martin. Spent his whole time on the field trailing through on the left shoulder of the ball runner hoping for an offload. Put himself in behind the tackled Scottish player on a few occasions hoping to intercept one of their offloads while still getting back into the defensive line quickly. Very Thurston like. Good link play in Beales second try with an inside ball from Johnson to Zelezniak to keep the movement going.

For the most part, play didn't go his way, predictably went to Jonsons side of the field. Didn't look gun shy at all though. Keen to get involved.

He's a good wee player & would like him to have a run there for the final & Harris back to his regular position would make that side so much better - hopefully he gets the nod. But the other option of Harris into 5/8 is also a safe one...be happy with either tbh

Harris to start at five eighth for the first 20 minutes is the most predictable option. That would mean Martin on the bench and Lewis Brown missing out though. Personally I think it's time to go all in. Start Martin in the no. 6 jersey and see how he goes. At least it's an option with some unpredictability for the Kangaroos. We're running out of time to get guys ready for the World Cup. If Foran or Jonhson don't make it in 12 months we're at long odds to win it.
