Yeah, its essential that we get the propping rotation right. When we do, we tend to go well. When we don't, you tend to find Hurrell, Mateo, Johnson etc can't do what we look to them to do. Matulino on the edge with the former circumstances is mouth watering, but when you consider the first 15 minutes on the weekend, we have more than enough strike power out there to capitalise on a solid platform.

Couple points/clarifications.

Saw Gubb was named in the team early in week, but they played Passi. Anyone know why? I know Cappy and co, blood these blokes to give them experience and depth. But Gubb's minutes have been good and his physicality would have been good in that game. As it was, Passi had a shocker.

Next point, bloody Nielson's skill level is crap isn't it. He never passes to Manu. There was one play in particular where Manu was outside his defender and a potential overlap where he would score 9 times in 10. Neilson, caught with the ball. Bring back Laumape ASAP.

People critcising Johnston, but every play went left. Commentators called the Broncos winger the "defuser". I know thats Manu's side but jeepers, why do that? The game plan seemed a bit corrupted? I was calling for the plays at the end to go to Johnstons side, he has made a few magic plays in his career at the end of games, when we needed one, they went the other way? Why?

Not sure about the point on Johnson, the play went to both sides from memory
Both Danger and Hurrell/Henry got ball

Johnson just went missing

I think it did go to the left too often. Just the fact that Neilsen got more ball than Hurrell confirms that. There were a few times (most notably right at the end) where Johnson was screaming for it but it went to Chad instead for the useless bomb to Maranta. We had a lot of bad 5th tackle options in that game and I think that could have been improved by Johnson demanding the ball a bit more on the last tackle.

Well I saw him standing there in those last 8 minutes. He wasn't behind play, he wasn't down, he was there. For some reason, unknown to me, they didn't work it that way? When you've got a main try scorer in Manu completely nullified by the centre that won't pass, doesn't seem a good idea to go that way....

Was that the game plan? If it was, that was a dud. You can pass to the right and kick back to the left. Why did they go to Chad and not Johnston. Just doesn't add up to me.

No question the broncos decided to attack down SJ and Hurrell/Fusitoa's side. That came up trumps.

I did note Henry scored two tries down the right side. So they went that way with success a few times, usually with Tomkins chiming in.

Totally agree about the refs calling held early. I thought it was funny that Cory Parker was complaining to the refs that we keep pushing after they call held, when they call help a split second into the tackle. It's like the refs are trying to penalize aggressive defense.

Every Bronco was pressing the issue with the ref, Hannett was pushing the issue after they scored a try on ref can, Thiaday as well during a break in play. It was clearly on their tip sheet to get into the refs head. Is held clear defineded in ref book?
I assume its when tackle momentum has stopped and/or a players leg(s) comes off the ground.
Not sure if there is a limit to how far they can be pushed back? Eg 10m?
Hopefully someone is seeking clarification with the refs boss Tony Archer from the Warriors organisation.

Neilsen came inside to take hit ups quite a bit and Hurrell went off early so thats why he ended up with more touches. The ball comes right when we're in their 20
