The team listen to Mannering.
Well they were after the Cows game. Maybe they will learn,Except they don't.

Could be part of the process?
Throwing a few darts in the garage yesterday, flicked the radio on and Mark Twatson was filling in, and the first 2 calls I heard was the most classic Radio sport/Warriors chat you could come across, firstly sack the coach and then the old classic, too many islanders in the team lol
Was actually a decent point made though, how does Wiki escape scrutiny when the Warriors second half fades continually happen and the team looks buggered ? Twatson then ruined that convo starting to crap on about multi sport
The reason why there is too many islanders in the team is that most of the palangis play union. This is why I was saying earlier that Warriors management should hustle our rugby union players harder, particularly the younger lot....and then the old classic, too many islanders in the team lol
I can't understand these unacceptable fitness levels, numerous guys look absolutely screwed after 60
minutes and it shows in the lazy arm grabs and lack of chasing. Kata and Foran esp looked dead out there, and it doesn't inspire any confidence to watch them hands on knees sucking in their lungs. Why is this ok? You never see Storm players look like they're about to faint.
There is simply no excuse for not being match fit at this level.

As a proud islander myself, I think we DEFINTELY need more Simon Mannerings. NZ league needs more palagis/pakehas/europeans playing.
'Too many islanders' sounded offensive when I first read it, but then there are times when Im watching and thinking there are too many islanders during the games. The Warriors management do not discriminate, they'd put a jersey on an ex con. Its just dumb to think they only pick islanders. They only pick they best they got and if it turns out to be islanders well...I don't know...maybe league is only big in Auckland and in Auckland, league is played mainly by Polynesians.
I thinks theres only Luke and Thompson that are Maori so yeah it is lacking in Maoris and that doesn't reflect the amount of Maori that do play league in NZ. Plenty of Maori play league in NZ and they hold a annual Maori league tournament that has a reputation for its physical and brutal nature.Until Luke rocked up recently I was a little perplexed about the lack of NZ Maori in the side. Led me to believe the Warriors recruitment isn't digging too deep into regional NZ.

Im seeing a lot of good Maori players popping for the Aussie teams like your Te Maire Martins and Nikorimas so a lot of them getting picked up early I guess.
Tohu Harris is another. Plucked from Palmy North to the Melbourne Storm. Now returning to NZ a very good player.
Kearney was a bit of pioneer in this regard, went to the Magpies as a teen. Of course was a premiership winner with the Storm, after the Warriors!
The 'Islanders' in Kiwi league is nothing new, I was just recalling that famous win at Lang Park in '83, the Kiwis had Leuluai, Ah Kuoi, Ropati, both Sorensons.
There were a lot of Palangis in the 2008 Warriors side, which played above itself that year.
