Well how long is McFadden going to last???
More of the same from the Warriors.
Ill discipline marching teams down the field, simple errors, seemling no game plans, handling errors, intercepts, shit kicking game, forwards not up to much other than Matulino.
Some of the penalty calls against us typical ref shit never helps!
Handed them 12 points!

Only saw the first half. Some good moments in counter-attack but no evidence of a solid game plan. Johnson not involved enough and when he was he never seemed to have any space or time. Last tackle options poor.

It just always feels like a try could be scored against us at any moment. I just want to watch a game where I don't have to be stressed the whole time.

I really think Johnson is the most overrated halfback in the NRL.

That second half was terrible. All the ball and field position for the first 5 minutes and no points from it. Then Newcastle dominates the next 35 minutes.

I'm not sure where the optimism is coming from. That seemed like typical Warriors round 1, which is always a big disappointment.

If things were reversed and the Knights came to Mt Smart in round 1 with 3 debutants, another rookie, and an injury list as long as our we'd be demanding blood, let alone the disruptions we had during the game.

The Knights have dangerous individuals, and if you look at their tries/breaks most of them came from nothing so our defence wasn't that bad.

In the end we made some poor decisions, we didn't take our opportunities and we lost. If we had a more settled line up I think we take some of those opportunities we missed. Our attack never really clicked.

Compared to round 1 the last couple of years there was a difference in the way we performed, even if we still end up with no points.

Johnson only looks good behind a dominate forward pack!
That's why we need a Foran to step up when we not doing that.
Townsend still not 1st grade 5/8, tries his ass off no doubt and has good moment 40/20.

Some weird ref calls cost us.
Smith tackled with out the ball.
Some shit happening with players on the restart at 20m.
Smith leading with an elbow to Mannerings throat and getting the penalty.
Lost balls called strips.

8 point try was correct to the letter of the law, but seemed to be an accident and the 10 in the bin is an interesting standard to set.

But at the end of the day, to hot, to many rookies and to many injuries.

Positives:
Lolo looked good.
Matulino bent the line.
Vete made over 100m

Didn't see the whole game, only parts of it. The team definitely looked better than last year r1.

I'm not sure what the temperature was like, it's early March and it's been f**king hot all summer.

Once we had 3 debutants in the team and Tomkins missing we were always going against it.

Disappointed since we were leading up to the last 20, but I'm not in any way worried.

Thought what little I saw TL went ok at hooker. I think it's only a matter of time that Chad will lost the #6 jerdey and Lolohea will be fullback, going by today's performance it'll be by the end of the month

It was fairly warm at the stadium, but most of the ground was in shade by the time we were bombing our lead in the second half.

I thought there were a few positives, and liked how the new guys plus Tui did. Plenty to build on and work with for next week, but not a disaster against what I thought was an impressive looking Knights team.

Was impressed with Lolohea, props on debut held there own. Hurrell is a liability on defence, the man has no heart. Ben Henry isn't a centre and imo shouldn't be there even with the injuries they have. The backrow along with Matulino played good. Townsend to play reserves, even though he done some good things he mostly backed it up with bad mistakes at the wrong time.

The world, not the NRL

Yes, he can be brilliant, yes he can do things few others can - but week-in week-out there's many halves I'd prefer over him - Mullen is one.

I saw Awen, Monty and Wairangi after the game commenting that Ben Henry's miss tackle was a one off etc etc.

I can recall him doing that in the past too so not a one off.

Just venting
