Good start to the half, Johnson kick holds up in breeze, Moylan trapped in goal.

Johnson kicks out on full on last tackle, he can't get it right, with wind at his back or in his face. Puts us under pressure and affects momentum.

Leuluai couldn't find Hoff on that short pass, try goes begging. Still 18-14, 26 mins to go.

Soward knock on on halfway. We get another crack. Johnson caught out on 4th tackle, gives possession to Panthers.

Gubb gives away penalty, Panthers on attack. Wallace knocks on, blows try. Game opening up.

Gavet off-load didn't find its mark, Panthers get ball and score after a couple of tackles. Peachey, it was a bit too easy on the left. 20-18, Panthers.

C'mon Warriors, get up and win it!

Next try wins the game?

Penrith winger in, kick from corner, Soward misses. 24-18, five to go.

Warriors short kick off, we get it, Kata throws the dice, Penrith score again. Game over.

I thought TL looked poor out there today. Maybe ok on D, but both footwork and hands just looking to slow for 1st grade. He doesnt offer much to SJ as a 2nd point of attack.

Still don't understand McFaddens bench ploy. Allwood played all of 5 minutes. Boys ran out of ticker into that strong wind. He's gotta sort this out. Surely we cant go on picking a bench player solely for injury cover??

Discipline was appalling. Our team is full of deluded fools. Blokes that just will not get into a grind. No matter what, they just won't stay in a game.

Lets go through it...

1) SJ gives us a try by not taking a tackle and going in goal. He tries the most impossible offload in goal... try. Ridiculous. Second half, he tries to kick in goal, and it goes sideways across field straight to Cartwright with absolutely no hope of ever reaching the in goal. Then he gets space on the last tackle, so he runs, and does well, but instead of putting in goal, he cuts back into an ambush and throws a poor offload.
2) Ben Matulino - that offload, and then he follows it up with a stupid penalty.
3) James Gavet - shouldn't see first grade again this year. Average at best. Throws an appalling offload with no support, right when Issac Luke has created a lot of space. All he has to do is take the tackle and we are on a big roll. Then a set or two later Penrith are attacking the line and he rushes out of the line, grabs no one and is really lucky they don't step into the space. I can't believe they didn't.
4) Thomas Leuluai - good battler for a defender. Tries hard there. But he can't play 6. Took no pressure off Johnson. No kicking game. The pass to Ryan Hoffman was perhaps the worst pass of any player all season. Can't believe they didn't put Tui into 6, and leave Fus at 1. WTF has Leuluai done to deserve the 6 jersey?
5) Charlie Gubb - is no one in this blokes ear? Or is he too thick to either take it on board, or figure it out himself. I counted four tackles that he could potentially be involved with, in a row, where Penrith stepped him as he went for those stupid grass cutters. He's killing us Anyone with footwork is going to destroy him
6) Solomone Kata - first 70 minutes was awesome. Last 10 disgraceful. The offload to no one with tackles in hand attacking their line, feeble. He then casually jogged back as they sprinted up field on a line break. Then he comes out of the line when there's no need to creating space for Fisher-Harris to get DWZ in the corner with ease. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

I genuinely feel for the likes of Tevaga, even Thompson (yes I know he's in the bad books). Hoff played really well too. But this team is full of dead heads. Teams just get into a grind and wait for us to implode. And sure enough, we do. We lack basic skills, fitness, and patience. Yes the coach is poor, but fair dinkum, these guys shoot themselves in the foot. Penrith played it well into the wind. Short passing, low kicking, work hard in the tackle to earn penalties. Our blokes, reckless offloads, high kicks, panic plays. There's the ball game.

I can't believe Fus wasn't at fullback. Bloke barely got any ball. And we moved him to the wing to compensate for Leuluai coming back? Now, yes Leuluai hit like a freight train but his ball playing is horrible. Absolutely horrible. Always has been always will be. Has no kicking game. The word is Lolohea is the #6 in waiting. So why on earth would you not play him there? Before RTS went down, Lolohea was being promised the #6 jersey. And he took it well in the 20 minutes he got there. Then Fus goes to fullback when Lolohea goes down and plays exceptionally well there. Be brave Cappy, there's no crime in sitting Leuluai in reserve grade. His skill set just isn't where it needs to be.

sums up what was going through my head during the game almost to a tee.
Poor decision making cost us the game. but we have been singing this tune for decades now.
