The difference was the kicking game and Pearce controlled things.

Goes to show how much we missed Adam tonight. Lots of people say get rid of Adam or drop him or next year he won't be at the club. What a load of garbage, tonight completely showed how much we need Adam and how valuable he is.

Sutton will go to back row but you can't be hard on him tonight he was a bit rusty. His knee still gave him some trouble.

The Roosters had more polish and too much speed in the play the ball. But they held us down and wrestled the crap out of us.

Kills me to say it but were beaten again mentally. We've had this crippling self doubt in our game since the manly game. No one can touch our talent or muscle but when we win it is in spite of our poor mental toughness not because of it.

Fans and media and the drought just add to the pressure.

It's up to Madge to send em out on the paddock next week with confidence and grit and zero fear.

I hope we play Roosters next week.

Of course disappointed we did not win , however the game left me super confident for the finals. And I look forward to meeting Roosters again SOON.

No new major injuries going into finals.
No NEW suspensions.

GI and Sam have not fully recovered from last week , so hope the next week will improve them and Sutton definitely needed the hit out. He will get better as the finals progress. Reynolds to come back next week and Teo the next.

Happy to meet the Roosters or Manly next week. Roosters should lose Guera and expect Napa for next week.

The stars are aligning for us.Very confident of our next game

Agreed, we had a bit of a tough night last night with the ref. Hopefully the MRC does justice.

Proud of the way we kept fighting last night, we lacked Reynolds for polish.

You guys were robbed, not just of the game but the chance of the minor premiership. A sin-bin for that.........Oh please! Once again a stupid refereeing decision has had a major influence on a game, not to mention the forward pass from Pearce to Mini for his try. As a Broncos fan with a soft spot for the Bunnies I'm getting a bit sick of stupid refereeing decisions. Luckily last week's debarcle didn't cost the Broncos their chance in the finals. Sin-binning should be for bad things like kicking an opponent in the face or tripping. I hope they get it sorted out and one of these brainf**ks don't cost someone a finals match.

Laughing at the delusional soufs supporters. The Roosters were simply too good last night. Premiership no14 is looking real good.

Your mob are the biggest offenders int he comp when it comes to wrestling followed by the bulldogs. For once it doesn't work and you cry over it.

Don't blame me hurri, it's just what I hear from other people as info comes through.

Close game in the end, the sin-binning of Auva'a cost us dearly.

The sin-binning did affect us but it was a fair call,IMO.
Auva'a not only held down but it looked like he stripped the ball as well.
I assume the ref believed that the Roosters were robbed of a likely 6 pts in that situation so sin-binning was the punishment--Pearce was very close to the line & Sths at 6s & 7s so more than likely they would have scored.
I would have been very unhappy if the boot had been on the other foot & Sths hadn't received the same result.
Keary will need to have a major influence as a play-maker with JS moving to an edge forward---JS really requires strict guidelines to his role in the finals so as the Keary/Reynolds combo is not inhibited.
Keary & Reynolds have progressed terrifically in their combo & need to have a free rein in controlling the team & its creative endeavours!!

If GI wasn't carrying a hip flexor injury, we win that game. Pearce wouldn't have gotten anywhere near him and he's under the posts.

Anyway. Good game Roosters. See you again at some point in the next few weeks.

I reckon Pearce is quicker than GI over long distances regardless of injury. GIs speed is greatly exaggerated because he's so spectacular in full flight. Mitch on the other hand has an excellent sprinters technique.

Even so, the notion that you "win that game" had you scored and made it 8-6 with a conversion to come at the 30 minute mark is quite ridiculous.

Yes , as ridiculous as

If the ball does not bounce off the post into path of Rooster , Souths would have won
or

If the referee would have called a knock on on Pearce , Souths would have won

or
If the referee would have been consistent and NOT sinbinned Auva , we would have won.
Pearce dropped the ball COLD . The Roosters , also were penalised near the line for trying to slow down the play the ball . Consistency would have had a Rooster player sinbinned as well.

Anyway , Roosters got all the rub of the green and just held off Souths at the end. I like the way some Roosters fan dismiss the last 15 minutes as Roosters easing off and conveniently ignore the huge advantage from the sin bin.

Souths lost , however at the end , it was a SWEET loss with plenty of promise for the next game.Bring it on , hope it is next week.

Bahahahaha

Weren't you predicting a big win last night? How did that pan out for you?

You've lost two of your last three convincingly. Your forwards look cooked and so is your season.

B2B Minor Premierships with last round wins over your mob. Delicious! And now for B2B Premierships.

Thanks we're gonna need it.
I don't like to see any team get a dud call.....................except for the Bulldogs and maybe the Storm tonight.

Thanks for that and being honest. Would love to see Brisbane win tonight hopefully the ref doesn't spoil a good game. I'm sick of the refs like you to we just want some consistency.

We will see if Melbourne get sin binned but I doubt they will.
