Nothing adds up with the Warrior. Geez I'm gonna watch THEM AGAIN NEXT WEEK!!! I must be mad to think the Warrior is the best team. Not good. Depression.

My worry is that they're gonna put in and take good sides to the wore like they have the last two weeks but just not turn up against lesser teams they should beat. They need a couple of good efforts against mid table opposition to get some decent wins on the board and build a bit of confidence.

what constitutes a lesser team in the NRL nowadays. I watched the Newcastle v Canberra game and Newcastle played well in the second half and could have jagged a win with a bit more luck.
There are no easy games in the NRL anymore. Eels aren't cellar dwellers anymore, St George owns us, and the Tits thrashed the tigers. Who do you expect to beat to break our loss streak. Penrith?

We have the Knights at home next week. Half their side are NSW Cup quality, another quarter are young, the other quarter are either average or overrated. We should win comfortably. SHOULD.

We showed effort today but can anyone show me proof we've actually been coached in the off-season? I can't see a thing. Some effort but no direction.

And we should've taken the field goal and backed ourselves to retain possession, get downfield and defend. Then the god,god awful decision to go long from the kickoff in the 76th minute post Cronk's FG. Ugh. SJ is really off the pace.

We're not playing like a mid-table team, there's only two sides going worse. We have those two sides the next two weeks. So we'll know more then.

No matter how you look at it, that's two (more) points we don't have that could cost us dearly at the end of the season.

Watched the game live and not yet on TV so would have missed some details but here are my thoughts.

Negatives:

* We must have the most directionless attack in the NRL. So much sideways running, predictable passes. Johnson and everyone else need to start playing WAY more direct and taking the line on at every opportunity. Also playing way to slow and deep when we do go to the edge so even the quick tip on from RTS is doing nothing. None of that sh*t will start working until we start playing direct and stop waiting for someone else to create something out of nothing.
* We really missed Manu's go-forward on 1st tackle, especially in that second half. I just cringed when we were left with Jono "slow as molasses" Wright hitting it up for 2 metres.
* The Storm always win the penalty count. I'm tired of the Cam Smith effect. The loss is harder to swallow knowing we may actually have played well enough to win had we not had a few killer blows from the men in yellow.
* We need a goal kicker. One more 2-pointer between the sticks and we probably would have won.
* Hoffman is not doing much for us this year is he?
* That penalty on Gavet. What the serious f*ck? Are we getting an apology from the refs for that bunker brain explosion?

Positives:

* RTS started looking much more effective. I can see him just getting better and better each game as the team gels more. However he's horribly misused, and our style of attach needs to change to take advantage of him.
* Our defence was way better than just 2 weeks ago. Due to all the penalties the Storm had as parked on our line for long periods of time and we would have previously given up a few soft tries there.
* Gubb's a f*cking tackle machine - I loved the spark on D that gave us.
*We put good kick pressure on Cronk. His long kicking game seemed ineffective with most going right down the throat of RTS.
* Dummy half and pass to second receiver is way more sharp than in previous years. Even with Luke out I thought our DH service was better than last year, and Robson, despite his flaws, is a pretty sharp passer as well. Pity it's not helping us go forward though and Johnson casually shovels it off to the the man outside.

Spot on.

Also, why did they go upstairs with 'no try' for Wright's try? The ref consulted with the touchee first.
