Womens and Premier Grade games (at Admiral Reserve anyway - not 100% about the other venue) were both 3-way games with Joondalup, South Perth, and Rockingham.

Joondalup Womens won both their 'games' against South Perth and Rockingham. Rockingham Womens beat South Perth I think.

Premier-Grade: Joondalup and South Perth 6-all, South Perth I think beat Rockingham, & Joondalup defeated Rockingham about 12 or 18 to nil.

First Grade: Kalgoorlie defeated Rockingham (48-12), and South Perth defeated Joondalup 28-6. It was South Perth up 6-0 about 45mins into the game before they started scoring.

All day, the ball-handling wasn't the best from any team, but given the deluge of rain that was coming down (and even after it eventually finished), they could be forgiven.

i'll be playin, were goin there in round 4
If I'm playing, I'll be there. If I'm not, then I doubt I will (we're only hiring a 25-seater for the trip) ... but it'd be good if I could. Someone's gotta look after the boys, eh Joondalup_Giant?!

lol that website is so amatureish, was sort of hoping they'd scrap it n start from new to make it look more professional but i suppose that all costs money and its probably better spent on the game....

BIG MARGINS END LOCAL PRE SEASON COMP
http://www.warugbyleague.com.au/content/news/?page=3&nid=2952&oid=

Lopsided wins were recorded in all four games yesterday to end the pre season competition.

South Perth Lions scored 12 tries to 4 in their powerful 66-20 win over Kalgoorlie Brothers. New captain Kane Morgan led well with three tries and was supported by Josh Cliff and Dave Collis who both scored twice. Michael Guthrie had a day out with two tries and five goals to finish with 22 points.

Joondalup Giants scored another big 68-18 win over Willagee Bears. Jeremy Brown, Ben Mathews and Rapana Hapta controlled the game from the centre to maintain the Giants dominance.

North Beach Sea Èagles beat Fremantle Roosters 46-14 to complete a good preparation for the season which starts next week. Rick Williams was among the Sea Eagles’ best.

Rockingham Sharks returned to form with a 42-26 win over Central Bulldogs after a close tussle until the 60 minute mark when the sharks powered away. Peter Worth was in the thick of thins with three tries for the Sharks.

GIANTS JUST EDGE OUT ROOSTERS http://www.warugbyleague.com.au/content/news/?page=3&nid=3018&oid=
Joondalup Giants just got over the line to defeat the Fremantle Roosters 36 to 32 in the dying minutes of the game at Admiral Reserve. It was an exciting game for both teams with the Giants holding a half time lead of 18 to 4 against a slow starting Roosters who were able to turn it around well for a good second half.
With five minutes to go, the Roosters had edged the front with a 32 – 30 score line only to be denied a win by the Giant’s best player Josh Irving getting over the line to get the lead back and win the game.
Masey Howarth also played well for the Giants with Justin Bygraves and Hynan Smith in the best players for the Roosters
Central Bulldogs continued their winning way with a 44 to 28 win over Kalgoorlie. It was a scrappy affair for most of the game with Waisake Volau having a big game for Bulldogs running the ball over the line for six tries.
The other two games for the day had plenty of spite involved with players getting ruffled and a total of eight send offs between them.
North Beach Sea Eagles accounted for Willagee Bears winning 44 to 20 with the best player for the Bears being Craig Madden and Ben Kenny and Mick Bray the best for North Beach. Tyrone Cranston had a good day with 12 points for the Sea Eagles.
South Perth Lions won easily in their game against Rockingham Sharks finishing 48 to 22. Michael Guthrie was the best for the Lions while Martin Meadows played well for the Sharks.

I'm sure our half time lead was 24-4 but who knows??
