Two new stands with completely new upgraded facilities. There’s a massive difference between the two.
That’s a budget build with basic stands

Maybe Perth is doing something decent instead

Maybe costs are higher in Perth than western Sydney where all the tradies live lol

The main stand at hbf comprises three seperate stands the whole thing needs to go

The ground has poor corporate facilities currently too
They will demolish the whole west side and start again. It would me a major cost build as will need 30 or so corporate suites, larger function spaces, a members section and terrace, media, player and officials facilities etc. Think Commbank corporate stand and thats what $350mill spend gets you, plus roof and extra seats over South stand and maybe new North stand to replace the Shed.

Penrith is getting 2 whole new stands.

Wouldn't you just finish HBF park?
To finish HBF park (and do it properly) it needs a new corporate west stand, roof and infill seats south stand, brand new stand north end. LED lighting improvements plus improved toilets, food outlets etc. There wouldnt be change out of $350mill for all of that done well.

north to be rebuilt to match South stand, South stand to have roof and in-fill seats, brand new west stand. Its hardly a small job!

Then just knock the whole thing down and do it properly.

27,500 seater stadium for under $350m. Get BESIX-Watpac as principal contractor and they’ll get it done for under $315m

But for bits and pieces? Yeah kidding themselves.

Compare that to what Penrith are getting. Why would it cost more?

Difference between $350mill part rebuild and $600mill+ for a new stadium. Not to mention having already spent $150mill on the place they probably feel obliged to keep going.

I'd love a new stadium at Burswood next to Optus (Though HBF Park is a better location imo) but they wont walk away from it now after spending so much.

lol if a new 27,500 stadium can be built for under $350mill why are they spending $310mill on two basic stands for Penrith?
