Good, rational and well thought out article. This is what it should mean to have the bears back; to re-engage the affluent north sydney with rugby league and by supporting an expansion area with junior pathways. Expansion should mean zero extra sydney games, as the article points out there will be plenty of opportunity to see the bears in sydney.

More than Perth

more importantly the richest parts of Australia

it’s a short ferry ride from circular quay

from north Sydney cbd all the way over to the Chatswood cbd, middle harbour out to the spit bridge
There are 12 junior clubs in Perth. Last time I checked that is more than 8 ...

Yep there are plenty of benefits to it.

Bet you I know which one produces the most nrl players
The one with a direct pathway to the NRL by chance?
on numbers alone:
WA Jnrs >>>> NS Jnrs.
3,500 >>>> 1,200

But adding those 1200 to our 3500 and growing the WA numbers starts to give a much stronger base, kids not having to leave NSW or WA to play elite Jnrs and two pathway systems feeding the Perth club cant hurt. Just need to work on those Bear necessities non-negotiables lol

Wa juniors >>> participation awards
Ns juniors >>>> nrl players

I mean Perth nrl team aren’t going to rely
Upon their juniors for players

like i said ones got a direct pathway to NRl and one hasnt. I wonder why there is difference in outputs given the size difference of jnrs? Hmmmm.

It will eventually, if done right and properly. If we think we can just have the Bears or Jets developing players and ignore the NRLWA and our own systems then youd be right, we will never will. it may come as a surprise but there isnt something in the water or a genetic difference between kids playing RL in NSW and kids playing RL in WA!

So a Kiwi kid who played Matts prior to 2009 and a kid from Belrose.

The Bears basically have more potential bed partners and home grounds than actual members and juniors, plying to play in an over saturated Sydney market. Ffs.
In NRL world, they’re a shoe in.
Collectively, we barely give Buzz the time of day. Now, it’s him dictating (creating ?) expansion policy. Lol when he was a hack at NewsLtd when the culling occurred.
