Modern stadia have seats which can fold down so it becomes a terrace

The shed looks like crap now

It’s not essential that bit the main stand is
West stand is a given. Id prefer a roof over South to anything being done with the North. But if the money is there extend the shed and put a full cantilever roof over the terracing and the seats at North end.

Id do the West stand, put a roof on the South stand and extend the shed to make it full width and twice as tall. I like there is standing terraces. makes it a bit different to other stadiums here, also means there's a cheap ticket option for those with less money and is a cheaper way of adding another couple of thousand on to the capacity. Just put a cantilever roof over it all to make it look more modern. Would give a 27k ish finished stadium.View attachment 95507
You told us all Western Australians were loaded, why do you need cheap seats?

West would probably be 250 million on its own tbf at the least
Yep Id expect so. The East stand cost $70-80mill in 2012 but West needs all the corporate facilities, media boxes, player facilities and presumably a gold members section and terrace as well like Commbank has. Not much change today out of $250mill. Id imagine a roof and the extra seats they've talked about for South stand would be around $50mill.

So ..most of this money ( as per the media rumour) is going into the redevelopment of a Govt owned stadium used by multiple professional teams ?

Not saying that’s a bad thing .. but a bit of a stretch to call it “RL development “…
simple fact is no NRL club, no redevelopment. So it is being done to benefit the NRL club first and foremost, in fact its the only reason it is being done. Sure others will get the benefit as well but its an investment to make the NRL club as successful and viable as it can be.

Simple in your mind maybe…

Im sure the other sports that use the stadium are a consideration of the Govt … if the NRL team doesn’t go ahead ..they might have to deliver an upgrade now anyway

Doing corporates like commbank or Allianz is the key

That’s where the club will make the big dollars on game day and with the strong mining industry they will get good usage
