Cumins got himself in trouble for proposing him earlier … don’t think PvL approved of him ?
Nothing offical has come out but he is outspoken if he was knocked back. He would of told the world about it

He posted on here the arl wanted a board seat on the wa bid and named Tony Crawford as the personSo who has told you $50m and why are they credible ?
Yeh doubt it’s him
It’s someone whose a lifelong bears fan but not involved with norths leagues

I thought this was total bs then a week later the media reported this so I knew he was reliable
That’s the thing about these forums is people make up so many bs conspiracy theories then ignore the people that actually know what’s going on and mock them for making it up (not saying that’s me lol)
Things changeThe media hasn’t got many things right so far in the expansion process ..
I think the 200k stems from the initial numbers lost + next generations that stem from that initial number ie kids etc.Of course.
6pm Friday games is 4pm Perth time. Having a 100k Bears fans tune in on the East helps the value of the deal.
I think the 220k number is wrong but if there are say 2k that attend regular away games. You are at an extra $100k for the home club.
Compare that to say the Pirates that may bring a handful.
This is why the Bears are linked not to be a joint venture partner
Wait till he finds out you aren’t even from the north shore lolI think the 200k stems from the initial numbers lost + next generations that stem from

That’s data NRL and broadcasters got and ran with it.
For example in 1999 my family alone would just been me and dad watching them. Now it’s me, dad, sister, my partner and my kid. Just using this as soft sample of how I believe their thought process is. You can argue for and against this til cows come home but makes most sense.
Regardless of Greeny’s outlook and notion that Bears only have old men watching them, the truth is Bears in Cup pull in a lot of young families and kids to games. Probably 85% is made up of that demographic.

If we are back to private investors why did Vlandys release the media the other day saying it would be members owned?
Name them. Besides 'rich people in Mosman' and a comedian. There are loads of bears investors that would love to put money into this bid and own a chunk of it
Strange he didnt mention new investors though? Maybe it was more about clarifying NRL wouldn'town it than how it would actually be owned?Look at the Souffs model

You're for sale?Pvl ability to sell the dummy is better than Munster
I mean really? In terms of the pay tv deal getting a Perth nrl team is worth almost nothing
Existing league fans already have it
So do fumbler fans
So where are the new viewers going to come from
The bears will get viewers in Sydney that don’t watch the game regularly now
Also, how to we believe that "super rich" Sydney based investors are willing, and will demand nothing.
BUT, the Bears would only invest if multiple games are played at an cricket oval??

Leichardt and Belmore too?If the bears fans are so passionate they have the option of attending away games when the frankenbears travel to Sydney.
Playing at a hovel is keeping to the past - isn't that what you peanuts are against?
YesLeichardt and Belmore too?
