6PR presenter Oliver Peterson mentioned the meeting on the radio just then. Apparently the govt have come up with more money for grassroots and the original bid team have come up with the $20mill license fee.
Doesn't sound like Cumins is out.

I don’t get why Peter V’Landys and other nrl officials have said very publicly they aren’t negotiating with West Aussie consortium anymore if the consortium is still around and why the reports since October have been between west Aussie government

If west Aussie consortium is back but the negotiations have been strictly between nrl and west Aussie government then does that mean consortiums power has been drastically reduced?

I also found 6pr Oliver’s Facebook page and his post about this was 4 days old. Strange that none of the experts here caught on about it?

Hi Bear, I saw this post and wondered that with West Aussie government coming to Sydney this week and Roger quoted in saying things are moving forward (with NRL) can you allude to what you meant by this post?

Is the hurdle an impasse which was resolved or is there something more to it?

Also are you in the know with North Sydney or someone else? I'm a bloody curious bastard I know, I'm just asking what many outside this forum want to know. What's actually going on. If you tell me I won't keep it a secret, I'm shit at keeping secrets.

I have a couple questions for you Maximum.

Why would Peter V’Landys publicly state on more than one occasion that he isn’t dealing with the West Aussie consortium if the consortium is still around?

Why has the nrl and V’Landys only been negotiating with West Aussie government if west Aussie consortium was still a thing

Why would NRL reject West Aussie consortium outright and not bother to accept any revised proposal from them if there was intentions to work with Peter Cumins and consortium later?

Why wouldn’t Peter Cumins be coming to Sydney with West Aussie government to meet with NRL and presumably the Bears if he was still part of the picture?

I saw a Facebook post from the 6pr dude and his post was 4 days old. Did no one from Perth pick up on the news before today?

Is builderbear a member here? I haven’t seen them post and couldn’t find any posts from them. Is builderbear part of the bid or part of the north Sydney bears administration dealing with the nrl and west Aussie government?

If builderbear isn’t part of the bid or bears administration then how would they be left out of something they isn’t part of? Also how could Bears be left out of something they are confirmed by the nrl and Peter V’Landys to be part of?
