Given the imminent nature of WA's inclusion, and that they are obligated to be partnered with N.Sydney and their colours, I'd suggest PNG would not be allowed to have red and black as their sole colours. Much like Gold Coast weren't allowed to be the Dolphins, as Redcliffe had aspirations of being in the NRL one day (but were a lot further away from inclusion than WA are presently).

I've heard similar, mikaileagle also said he heard that to be the rumour aswell, it was Scorpions or Venom, much better than pirates, pirates to me just seems like a failure of a mascot, as in

"Yeah we smashed the titans last week, and have got the pirates this week, super easy draw"

Where you could say the same with Scorpions, but it just feels more scarier a prospect

don't know about that one of the posters has been giving us commoners small updates with how things are progressing before those things get released in media. thats pretty useful if you ask me for us expansionists. i just want to know more!
