That number says nothing about financial situation. A Sydney club may only need to draw a smaller crowd to break even. Saying News killed a club that was a money pit is a big call. How long should have they propped it up?!
You said they died due to disinterest. That was your wording. So now you move the goal posts when proven wrong?. I know you like flaming in this topic but stop acting like a tool mate.

The Scorchers have been brilliant at getting people behind them.

Any Perth team coming into the NRL should take a leaf out of their book when it comes to fan engagement.

Of course it helps that 'boring' cricket is Australia's national sport and has a massive fan base.

ARL killed the Bears, Arkos Rugby League
I meant by starting super league and excluding the bears

After packer backstabbed the arl they were forced into an awful peace deal that hurt their clubs way more

Souths norths Balmain wests St George manly (gone or merged)

The only arl clubs from Sydney which survived were chooks and eels

And the bears were promised a spot at central coast they should have been guaranteed a spot

Be bitter with Arko for the northern eagles but the guy almost had a heart attack for rugby league

News Ltd would’ve got 100 percent if not for him and Quayle

Pvl = Arko + Quayle

I wish the arl had the money to keep going then eventually just adding its own clubs to super league places like nz Canberra Brisbane and Perth and left all of super league to rot

Bears had the option to go to SL and if every SL club's News Ltd grant counted towards the shoddy rationalisation criteria then you can argue that they should've made the jump. Neil Whittaker advised them that moving to the CC would guarantee them a spot by being counted as a regional club along with the Knights, Broncos and Warriors.

The criteria if anyone wants to brush up on their history-

Even though he was from the arl side whittacker was a total stooge

He locked the game in a tv deal that was around half afl and that’s when we were losing so many stars to the wallabies because there was no money in the game as news ltd had to make back their losses on super league via a very low pay tv deal

it was a negotiation with ARL, agreements were reached about who would stay and go, picks were made by each side. Melbourne was a secondary consideration after ARL wanted Perth out in place of suburban sydney clubs. News ltd happy to acquiesce as was easy as they owned them, were expensive and had an eye on Australia's second biggest city. Such is rugba league.
did you do the accounting for the reds from hull?
