One minute seems like a lifetime on this thread.
Yes he’s been busy making daily spending announcements. You dont think if the deal was done he wouldn’t be announcing it in his pre election campaign?

why woulds he if it wasnt an election agenda item or promise or originally item that was budgeted for? genuine question too.
Yeah it sucks, last season was just self sabotage, once the original Coach got sacked for gabbling it was all downhill, then dumbarse changes to the Grand Final squad on the eve of the biggest match of the year was the final straw.
Maybe Cook feels it’s just too big of a gamble committing to a NRL team in a AFL State during his election campaign ?, maybe once he is re-elected then he will go with the WA Bears all guns blazing, that’s just my feeling.

I thought that as well, but then one of his early announcements and his biggest spend promise so far has been a $220mill racetrack around Burswood that literally nobody wants! Doesn't seem like he cares to much about what might be popular.

as many are speculating on here wouldnt it be dues to election? if papua was being in discussions in may and only announced december thats 7 months in totals. if nrl only been chatting to west aussie gov since late october thats only 2.5 months that they been chatting for once we takeaway christmas and new years break out of it.
