So when would you have them play Einstein?
Swear this has been down to death but

Friday 6pm WA, 8pm EC, 10pm NZ

Saturday 1:30pm WA(new slot mainly to cater Warriors/NZ 2/), 3:30pm EC, 5:30pm NZ

Saturday 3:30pm WA, 5:30pm EC, 7:30pm NZ

Saturday 5:30pm WA, 7:30pm EC, 9:30pm NZ

Sunday 2pm WA, 4pm EC, 6pm NZ

Sunday 4pm WA, 6pm EC, 8pm NZ

Thats 6 out of a potential 9/10 time slots available. More than enough.

Any later starts in WA will heavily effect viewership numbers in EC and NZ like Pies is saying. Not necessarily at the start or even first halves of games but definitely second halves. You’re talking about 11-11:30pm finishes in EC and 1-1:30am in NZ. How is that conducive to business, official partners and sponsorship?

This is before we take Daylight Savings into considering during the early rounds of the season as QLD becomes 3 hours in front on WA.

That makes the most sense and is easy for all 3 time zones even if nz gets one or two late games it’s not 11pm late lol

not too hard to grasp.

I’ve posted it before

Saturday 6 pm or 7 pm Perth time

Own Saturday

New time slot for Fox sports back in Sydney / Brisbane too
And that pushes east coast clubs into the unpopular 6pm sunday slot every week.

do you think tv will alternate ko schedule every other week so Perth play at 9pm aest? Don’t think yoube thought this through!

FrI night sht for fans
Sat afternoon nrlwa comp time
sat evening yep said that
sun 2pm yep but why then force a sht fan time on an east coast club?
sun 4pm by far the most logical time for Perth to play at home

so basically two slots work really well for perth and the other clubs..

First part of 2026
eagles 5 sunday games, 1 Friday, 1 saturday

dockers 2 Sunday games, 1 Thursday, 1 Friday, 1 saturday.

So first 14 weeks there’s 7 afl games on a Sunday.

like is said if we want to fill hbf park there’s only 3 decent time slots for perth and one of them is 4pm Sunday, we shouldn’t worry about what afl does and concentrate on building our club.
If you aren’t getting afl fans over to support the club where are you getting game from

You know the Sunday 6 pm slot isn’t on for half the season either

You’re missing the point on how total tv viewership numbers equals how broadcasters value for the sport equals the value of the sport overall.

It honestly doesn’t matter what works or doesn’t work for WA, it only matters what works for the game and competition as a business/organisation. The same logic currently applies to the Warriors, whom themselves don’t get certain time slots. It is what it is, deal with it.

I thought fox would have liked 6pm Sundays Sydney time. Has that slot not rated well?

Rates better than not having a game on at all though. It’ll only grow, it’s still a friendly enough time for EC and NZ. Also family friendly and inclusive of most demographics. Plus good for betting agencies and sponsors.

9:30pm EC/11:30pm NZ doesn’t work for majority of the above. You can’t maximise viewership and if you can’t maximise that, you cannot maximise its value.

Correct. I incorrectly thought you were saying the 4pm Sunday wasn't good for the broadcasters. It's the perfect slot for crowds and ratings in my opinion.
