Here’s something I maybe made up or not, you decide :
ARL Commission have had informal discussions with WA Coalition (LNP) to get their stance on it. Looks like they are equally committed to the funding of junior pathways, rugby league development and infrastructure but not necessarily committed to stadium upgrades or the potential funding of an NRL clubs offices/HQ temporary facilities or otherwise.
And unless it came from someone in NRL or in the Lib party its hear say. Might be right, might be wrong. I wouldnt be surprised at all if its right, this is a labor premiers pet project, its hardly going to curry favour with the opposition.
But pointless discussion. the Libs are rabble with no clear leadership. they are squabbling with their partners the Nationals and Cook isnt so on the nose yet the swing would be that big. It would take an absolute massive upset or major issue to arise in the next 4 weeks (like if we had major electricity issues in the heatwave again on a much larger scale than currently) to oust Labor at this point. Cook will in all likelihood get back in and hopefully we can get moving.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the MOU signed before the election so he can at least announce the HBF Park upgrade, that would be a major pre election commitment he could spruik.
