You're adding to the bed wetting with your hysterics on the Den/Cave/whatever it's called group on Facebook, grow up and stop being such a reactionary fanny. Log off if that helps. You're in a position of somewhat influence with that Facebook group. Perpetuating the myths stated by RL hostile media/parties is self defeating. If sentiment changes so much that the WA Bears doesn't happen, you could do with looking at a mirror.
Creating conversation and discussion lol presenting articles and opinions as is everybody else on Facebook. I’d suggest it’s you that should probably log off as you seem very triggered by conversation between strangers :)

yeh Im sure my influence will be a factor on if it happens or doesn’t, though doth give me too much credit me thinks!

There was some direct quotes from govt sources in that article, unless they just made them up as well. It coincided with my inside man telling me the exact same thing so two sources.

if you think wa govt is going to fork out $12mill a year for ten years for jnr rl you’re either very optimistic or very deluded lol

the smh article seems to hav the detail of what’s actually being offered.
Journos are talking about the 120 million wa govt investment (mislabeling it a license fee) six weeks after I was told it was happening

It is much more likely that is close to the total spend minus the hbf park upgrade money. I had heard previousy the rumour they were looking at $100mill infrastructure and grassroots plus $300mill for hbf park

we know there is $10-15mill going to Ken Allen park
The Malaga centre is likely to be $25-30mill at least
so thats $35-45mill spend right there
the 24 shs program and development officers plus the matched funding could well be making up the other $75-85mill, or $55-65mill of the $100mill investment figure is true.

What’s very unlikley is the wa govt is funding jnr rl 12mill ayear for 10 years with no increase in nrl funding To WA. The October article pretty much spelt that out.

bit it’s all guess work on the numbers for now. What’s important is the game doesn’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.

They were talking about it in October and it’s was shot down! Or are you saying after telling the nrl to jump cook then changed his mind? lol

Oct 30th
‘Those talks have already hit a barrier. WA government and rugby league sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations, who requested anonymity to speak freely, said the NRL had asked for approximately $12 million in annual funding for the next decade.
Sources said the NRL’s request was rejected earlier this month and a task force, led by WA treasury officials, had now been established to negotiate with the NRL.

The WA government confirmed it had rejected the NRL’s initial funding request but would not discuss the figure proposed by the rugby league body. It is still offering to upgrade HBF Stadium and build a high-performance facility.’

lol

only poster here who has been trumpeting figures as they get reported weeks later is bears. your sources always wrong, well you are because ya perthwrongs.

also in case ya cant count $320m no wait now perth media saying $300m is much less than $500m in novembers lol

if ya saying something is unlikely then it's 100/1 chance it'll happen cause ya always wrong on this stuff.

that $12m p year price tag hasn't changed. stadium cost has changed. temporary facilities to house offices has changed. but the $120m or $12m p year has stayed the same for months on end. no matter the article. no matter the journo.

im telling ya its gonna be $12m p year because thats how much over the club grant nrl will give $12 m p year. thats why i reckon its that figure.

2023 club grant was $18m (including salary cap). it's probably like $20m in 2025.

west aussie bears will probably get $32m which will include salary cap, club grant = $20m and $12m extra over to cover costs of management facilities and travel to help club grow into a position it can be sold for a premium. lol

WA Premier Roger Cook Tells NRL Boss To Shut Up - Xav & Katie - 92.9 Triple M

All tongue in cheek. there ya have it folks. now cookies all giddy giddy again and positive.
redbears was right (again) it seems in what he said on weekend or something.

looking like it went as below:
* nda in place due to cook not wanting this deal to become an election issue,
* deal or numbers of deal got leaked and it became an election issue,
* cookie had to be tough and say what he said to save face and down play it,
* now it's all sweet again and genuinely good banter (which is a good thing) and him being positive.
