Perth or West Coast for me in regards to the name.

I don`t mind treading on the fumbles toes and calling them West Coast Bears, christ the pricks did it in Sydney copying the Red Vee, the f**king audacity.
Calling them West Coast might also get some of the weagles fans who aren`t as obsessive about their code and are just sports lovers who can follow two codes. Would be interesting too if the WestCoast Bears become the behemoth I think one day they will.

On the player depth issue, surely only a matter of time until proper reserve garde comes back? NRL can now afford it and it helps with the player depth issue. Sucks for Queensland cup clubs but it seems inevitable.

Nothing is going to happen to the QRL, their participating clubs or the current set up/pathways into NRL except for having more funding/investment put into it.

Just because the NRL can hypothetically afford a national reserve grade right now doesn’t equal into a sustainable and economical long term plan.

No one in the world is talking about Western Australia by referring to them as "Western" though.

e.g. "I've never been to Western" makes no sense. "You've never been to Western what" is the most likely response you will get.

Im non plussed. west coast, perth or western all work for me. Im not a fan of being called WA, and god forbid they should just call them 'The'. Hopefully NRL has learnt from that mistake.

Same can be said for Wests. Not that either are good, it's just if one is good enough as an NRL team name then it will be.

first time RL has made the front page in my 25 years in perth and they can’t even get the name right lol
dont suppose cook is Impressed with vlandys being on nrl360 once again opening the door for him to be attacked. Vlandys should have toed the line and said negotiation s would now continue, not that a deal was now with cook to decide on.
