Wait till the compound on the water is built and players realise accomodation is free

If png are able to bid for players at the same time as Perth it’s not going to be good for the latter

We are talking about life changing money for people
Yeah it’s free but you can’t leave it, you can’t go anywhere, it will certainly be interesting, will the players get sick of the sight of each other ?.
Players will certainly make full use out of their gaming stations, there is a new league game rumoured to be coming out in July, the first in about four years possibly longer.

So the tens of thousands of Aussies who currently work in png don’t leave their compounds

lol

At least png doesn’t have a huge desert between them and civilisation

Hasn't this myth been busted already?

Pretty sure it's in the public domain that players aren't forced against their will to stay in the gated community.

Nan can’t PNG have dibs on them through Mary Fowler if you believe the media reports, seriously you can’t make that shit up lol.
Is it because she has fuzzy wuzzy hair ?.
Well to be fair, she has a PNG heritage through her Mum.

But I reckon, Perth is a direct flight from the UK now, and if she wanted to semi retire down the track they have a soccer team there. A League anyway, I assume W League but really don’t know. I’m sure they would start one if she asked. :D

Players will literally be flying out every second week for games and the season only goes 6 months. Those away games will probably be used to leave for the week..
If I were the PNG organisation, I'd have a training base on the Central Coast .
You'd really only be doing the compound thing for the week leading up to your home game. At least that's how I'd do it.

Yeh if Im Ponga I'm hanging off any new deal until we see if Perth happens and what they might offer. He is the marquee signing, being a WA born lad, that the NRl would love to see for the new club you'd think. If he's worth the money is a different question!
Even without him being born in Perth, getting Ponga will attract other players like no other.
There's only a few players that are arguably the best player in the game on their day and he's 1 ! All the others, Cleary, Munster ect all are either contacted or clearly happy in their current club.
Ponga isnt stupid, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that big money on Brown, then big money on himself leaves a mediocre roster that will be middling at best for a decade and no chance at a premiership.
At least if he signed at Perth, he can have a legacy of being a foundation player in a clubs inaugural year- he'll be in the history books.
You want Bellamy and Ponga.
