That’s how I was on Saturday with the Dolphins v the Titans and the QLD Cup game beforehand was Tweed Heads Seagulls v PNG Hunters, when this news broke, I thought, nah I’m driving down to Yamba instead for a surf.
Could’ve seen a great away win by the hunters and seen how tall the boys are first hand

Didn’t know Cumins was an ego maniac …haha

I’ve said several times that PVL hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory with a few things that have gone on in this expansion process … although im not sure if his bosses ( the clubs) actually care … their focus might be on the TV deal and they need a big win with that now
Im sure they are both of a similar personality type. In my experience most successful business people are.

Which only happened once lazy Aussie clubs realised signing kiwi juniors would be a good thing

Same for png. There were zero Aussie scouts in png.
Mate your talking to a Bears fan, the Bears had plenty of NZ internationals play for them before the Warriors were even thought of.

$10m per year for 5 years = $50m actually.
No the guarantee 'as you said' was $10mill a year.
And as I said Cumins said the revised offer included bank and surety guarantees. You're just throwing up another furphy as to why the NRl turned the bid down.

"After our bid was rejected we re-submitted a counter-bid to the NRL, which included a $20 million licence fee," Cumins told AAP.
"We were led to believe that was what the stumbling block was. We also made some other concessions about retaining a certain level of working capital and around bank guarante
e"

So we can take out license fee or concerns about financial security of the reasons the bid was rejected.

If their nursery was so flush they should be the Penrith of the QLD Cup, but they are not.
Zero elite coaching until now

Penrith were admitted into the nswrl in 1967

Yet by early 2000 their junior systems were struggling until Gus came in a decade later and sorted it

They competed in an Aussie comp now for ages and their players are already in super league

Gold Coast has some of the best junior nurseries in Australia and they just lost at home to a side full of png boys

Wb: PNG doesnt develop NRL players because the systems are not in place
Wb: Perth wont produce NRL players even if the systems are in place

In a few short years and run on the smell of an oily rag the Pirates SG ball side produced more NRL players than PNG has managed in 12 years and millions of $'s spent on a QRL cup side. There's a thought.

30 percent of the nrl today is nz

V 1 percent or similar pre warriors

lol
Queen, let’s move to Australia, the Warriors play in the NRL lol.
Yeah I don’t think this is why the NRL’s poly numbers grew.
I have lots of NZ friends, close family friends, hardly any are Warriors fans, actually the non Māori one is.

A bank guarantee is not cash in the bank. The Dolphins were asked to provide a $10mill a year bank guarantee (like an overdraft facility if you will) for 5 years.
Cumins mentioned in his interview that in their revised offer they had also provided bank guarantees.
The banks will either hold your cash or assets as security for the guarantee. There needs to be something tied into it and yes, cash in the bank forms the basis of a guarantee. Just means the cash is in your bank as opposed to the clients bank.

It's the same $10m. It means they need to keep the $10m there for the full 5 years and can't draw down on it.
Incorrect, it’s $50m total. There’s 11 hectares of land tied into it.

The NRL PNG team will be 100% local players because nobody else will go over there unless they are desperate for a quick payday and want those tax free $$$, another unfair advantage given to this franchise charity.
