Mere months ago, the NRL was "flush with cash" and people were "lining up" to be involved in the game.

No expanding to one of Australia's biggest cities is "too risky".

I'm glad you feel good about some corporate balance sheet though.
Mate, none of what you just wrote here even remotely comes close to a genuine response or reply to what you’re quoting me on.

If you’re on the spectrum, then take your meds.

I don't buy this NRL government friendly angle... politicians pretend to like beer for a few votes.
What politician will ever willingly alienate voters?
Very WA premier will be RL friendly until they're asked to get the checkbook out.
Politicians will pull the cheque book out if it’s negotiated properly, just look at what the AFL has been able to get out of NSW over the years, despite it being a minority sport.

Yep, no problem if Bears go to Christchurch as 19 and a genuine WA team is announced as team 20 in 5 years or so.
By that stage jets will be ready to fly in Ipswich
$200m.

NRL had some savvy people that know this sort of stuff to evaluate and estimate it. Hence they came to that figure.
were you part of that team? Ya seem to know a lot of building stadiums and costs involved etc
Someone told me that the norths members were told that if Cook didn't come to the party then PVL would send the bears to NZ. Have you heard that?
Surely they have plan g?

It was $320m. Thats what they all agreed on prior to election. Hence why the NRL kept powering forward.

The funniest thing out of all of this is multiple ARLC commissioners, Abdo and V’Landys, Cook, Saffioti and Albanese will all be sharing a corporate box together at the double here not even batting an eye lid at there events.

As I said, they won’t lose sleep over it. That’s business.
Never confirmed, just media speculation like the $500mill lol. I wouldn’t be surprised though.

Ok ..so looks like they have halved the other money then for juniors and CoE… personally that’s more disappointing then the Stadium
Not really half
$35 mill jnrs
$20mill training centre (in reality more as that whole precinct around it is getting developed)
$10mill for Ken Allen field
whatever the stadium rental and transport deal is worth

I’d have liked longer than 5 years but $7mill a year here for grassroots is game changer for the sport in WA.

$10m for a temporary field they will use 1-2 years ? But $20 for the permanent one ( sounds cheap )?

Yeh. That’s what it’s been costed at. The plan was expanding the soccer redevelopment underway of Ken Allen field precinct to include training facilities for the bears until Malaga was ready. Might be more than 2 years as there’s a major sports master plan for the Malaga precinct that I expect will take quite a bit of planning and building.

There will be a Perth team. It will simply be delayed by a few years. NRL had a timeline to finalise Perth so that they could begin tv rights negotiations. Both parties haven't agreed at the present time. It doesn't mean the death knell of expansion in Perth.

Plus Cook was elected as Premier only a month ago. You would think, Cook and the NRL will sort it out before the next WA election which is just under four years away from now. Most likely a Perth team will come in at the backend of the next tv deal. Something like early 2030's.
