Perth bears business plan is trust me bro
No my plan would be to get a behind door in principle agreement to build a business case for it and come back to the table in a year or two with some sweeteners like nines, all stars and magic round to get it over the line. In the mean time build the club sell the place out and show why it’s needed.

And the Storm came in and played out of shitty Olympic Park for 10 years … and they proved they could get crowd, developed a following and got a new stadium built for them … there is more than one way to skin a cat
came in just after SL and a time when clubs were getting culled an merging left right center with shit admin in news ltd. its not the same, c'mon do better,

If the storm didn’t have news Ltd behind them then playing at Olympic park they could’ve failed

Thought you would’ve worked out what I meant

We are not talking about their funding or a hypothetical about them failing ..

we are talking about the crappy stadium they played in before the Govt built then a shiny new one

I mean you aren’t saying it but the stadium build is essential to the bid

If they want to agree now and build it later and keep it hush hush that’s fine

But it needs to be contractual

And it’s a bad example of apply to Perth for the reasons I’ve said

And after the first two years of hype dies down , the Bears are at the bottom of the ladder and everyone is saying they should just go to that beautiful stadium on the central coast...
Another genius plan.

Again with the apples and oranges comaprison. Tasmania is an AFL state desperate for a top flights sports club in a national comp.
WA isnt an NRL state and has top flight sports clubs in every code bar one.

In Tasmania AFL are putting in a significant investment of their own money. WA NRL are not.

Maybe if the NRL had fronted up with $100mill contribution and not turned down $50mill of private investment WA's would look a lot better?
You continue to ignore the appalling rising costs of the Tasmanian stadium .
State Govt estimate(or should I say guesstimate) of $775m, but people "in the know" have stated it is now $1bn.The AFL will not be adding a cent more I would expect on the stadium.
For a state yes AFL obsessed , but not exactly financially loaded for 1 winter code and cricket with a population of 550,000 . A lot of money for a small population. So basically next to no competition from the other winter codes.
