AFL is definately a white fellas game, do any poly boys play it at the top level ?.

Weagles have the best in the game, Nic Naitanu (born in Fiji), but other than that I dont think there is much from when I lived there. The Polenesians mainly support Rugby from my experience but hopefully the new franchise will attract them to NRL.

The Indigenous communities mainly support AFL, which is another reason to support expansion.

I don’t know if he genuinely believes this stuff or is just trolling …a lot of these other sports guys seem to think that the NRL should just stay in NSW and never have any ambition ..the guy works in sports for a Sydney newspaper but seems oblivious ( or pretends to be) to how the biggest sport he covers is actually going these days with record revenue, ratings and crowds ..

This is the guy that has more losses making dumb statements ,than Rothfield has had beers at sporting events & functions.

Predicted the Storm would fail be sent to the Central Coast because a Wolvo ball team would come into Melbourne Ala Rebels.
Predicted the Vegas venture would not be a success.Now the Vegas council wants them back long term.
Wet his pants with excitement when Folau defected to his code.We know the result of that little costly exercise.
Now we get his Bear's argument and again he uses Central Coast.
Oh I forgot .COVID PVL gets NRL comp restarted early using team bubbles in Brisvegas.Fitzseemless & the AFL describe this as being some sort of atrocity and not taking the public into account.AFL soon follows suit.
The list goes on.
If this guy was running NATO ,Pukin would be sipping warm Pommy beers near Trafalgar Square renamed Red Square.

I was on a surf trip over WA during Origin about 10 years ago and talking to aboriginal blokes they all fall for the myth that QLD picks on ability and that NSW was racist and only picked white players. I thought it was interesting

Wouldn't know the numbers but quite large. You really notice it when you go to the games here. Every scaffolder seems to be a kiwi!
I think we can attract the south Africans here too, there's some big saffas around the joint

Absolutely spot-on. Souths are a smash hit over there and in particular Latrell and Cody. You could say that Souths are gold with their Indigenous Australian profile.
This is one reason of many why we must keep the Indigenous All-Stars match, it is a magnet for attracting our Indigenous Australian friends, I`ve been to two and they are goosebumps on arms stuff and the crowd was chockers with both Indigenous Australians and New Zealanders.

Interestingly in the funding announcements it regularly mentions the Clontarf foundation. It’s clear some of the grassroots funding will be going to get aboriginal kids playing the game in regional WA. Can see some of the high school RL scholarships in the city being offered to bring the best aboriginal kids into rl programs in these schools.

About 80k people in perth metro were born in nz. There’d be a lot more if you include the 2nd and 3rd generation population that was born in Perth over last 30 years to kiwi migrants.

Honestly, he's clearly aware and rightly concerned at the impact having the NRL in town is going to have to the union team. IE: a detrimental effect. NRL's gonna kill off the Force, or at the least, completely dominate them.

League`s success is eating fitzsmmns up and I genuinely mean that.

The way he kept coming back to the Vegas thing to ridicule it was a real revelation about the state of his mind regarding League`s success, profile and ambitions, he literally couldn`t stop himself. In the end his invective was so clear he was embarrassing himself.

It`s obvious he thinks it is just so unfair that his game is in the toilet and this other game is thriving. Absolute classic case of a someone who thinks they are a lot smarter then everyone else and just can`t understand why they, others, don`t get it. If only they listened to me they`d understand. We`ve seen the same identical behaviour from him on several other topics.

Anyway after 30 years of giving it to him both personally (I`ve given it to him a couple of times on radio talkback) and in the comments section of the papers (he now has me blocked in the Herald) I`m just happy to know that he is suffering.

He married Lisa Wilkinson so he wasn't that smart
