Perth bears will never be as big as wce

That’s ok they can still be a massive club

There’s only two clubs of note there unlike Melbourne which has nine

The media will give them decent attention

Glory too their days are numbered. They’ve changed owners a few times and their crowds along with the force are pathetic
It might get like Brisbane where the Bears get similar crowds to the AFL teams in years when the Bears are great and the Eagles are crap.

I think it was pretty obvious from the moment he was relieved of duty from Parra and headed over to the UK on short contracts that this was happening. I remember stating it would happen pretty much straight away. The fact that his wife is from here helps, and I'm lead to believe just recently they have purchased a home in North Coogee (just south of Fremantle). That's a fair way from HBF Park and Optus Stadium, and even further away from Malaga, but close to the supposed training facilities in Beaconsfield (old Fremantle Roosters home ground) and it's a property in WA, so I'd guess it makes sense.

So, for mine, it was always happening, and there aren't many former NRL coaches floating around with his experience. I don't mind the idea of it, personally.

I wont be surprised at all, but no deal is done, yet.
You said the same thing about the bid

Call your mate maybe he can update you

Ba isn’t going to say anything to the media whilst the bid hasn’t been formally announced lol

Haven’t you learnt yet

He didn’t just buy an apartment in Perth late last year cause he thinks it’s a good investment

My source didnt run for his seat again sadly.

Im sure he wants the job, if the NRl want him, if the NRL will decide or appoint a board for them to decide, how much money NRL is willing to throw at the club, lots of unknowns. But yeh media Im sure know he has been offered $1.1mill a year for 5 years lol

Last year the Western Bears had allegedly lined him up and ready to announce. If the NRL, or the new clubs board, feels the same time will tell.

Id have no problem with him as our inaugural coach. He's experienced, helped lift Parra from the cellar and will build a good culture to kick us off. However if the NRL want to throw millions at Bellamy or Cleary I wouldn't say no!

Thats the interesting thing, outside of the players how much are the NRl willing to throw at the start up of the club and paying for quality people in non player positions? The Consortium had $20mill for start up, how much is NRL willing to fork out?

I would say Fitz, Webster and Flanno are definitely better than Arthur (only by a small amount) - Ryles is 7 games into his career already seems tougher than Arthur so let see.
