Nah I say let them.Play a trial game at NSO, not an NRL game FFS.
If they want to piss away money and put on a poor game day experience for their fans, it's their choice.

Hey PR, I see your still going strong with your quest to have a WA team, good effort.A few nuggets in the Sacko interview
Likely name Perth Bears
Regular season game wont be at NSO, commercially doesn't make sense
KO will be 2027
5000 RL players in WA this year
Approx 20 WA kids a year U20 move interstate to play and have a shot at NRL.
I did laugh at his Perth Reds slip of the tongue![]()
The beer and footy festival held at NSO on some years is a great experience for fans.Nah I say let them.

Titans makes most sense.Who are they going to play at nso, manly? That would be a game that could get 40k at Allianz. Instead they’ll get 9k at nso. Just seems like a massive waste

How about this..Titans makes most sense.
Preseason at NSO doesn’t work. The game would have to be much later in the season proper possibly around Origin 3 time. How about this..
In order to activate the engage the traditional north Sydney fanbase, every year they have 1 pre season game and 1 nrl game on the east coast - alternating the pre season and nrl game with central coast and nso. The nrl game always featuring a lower drawing team like Titans. Then Manly take their home game to allianz, ensuring a large crowd for that fixture.
Games being taken to those regions isn’t the same as taking a game to NSO. People from the North Shore are able to get to Allianz and the SCG without much trouble, given we often hear about their conversion to AFL and RU and neither the Swans or Waratahs men’s teams play at NSO on any sort of regular basis.John doesn’t have a say in this. A game in NSO will be part of it.
A game in NSO is no different to Dogs holding a game in Belmore, Panthers in Dubbo/Bathurst, Tigers in Mudgee, Dolphins in Rockhampton/Sunshine Coast etc etc.
None of the above are about commercial opportunities.
it is the same as dogs to belmore or phins to kayo.Games being taken to those regions isn’t the same as taking a game to NSO. perthwrongs is only speculating on all these items you asked. he doesnt know shitHey PR, I see your still going strong with your quest to have a WA team, good effort.
Sorry if this has been asked before as I'm not a regular.
What is the general feeling amongst the rugby league community in the Perth district regarding the brand name and colours?
Are the majority happy with the prospect of continuing the legacy of an old Sydney based team or would they prefer their own sole identity?
Is there unique parts of WA that play the game similar to East Coast City/Country or interstate Qld.
Where is the broader game played at junior level and subdistrct?
Who and where are the pathways and junior development.
Who will be the feeder club/s.
Do you think it has any chance of folding in the future as did the Western Reds (I know that it was a different league)
Do you envisage travelling issues for teams such as Perth, PNG, Melbourne, NZ and rep games, particularly if backed up. I know this could be avoided by scrutinised and careful planning but one thinks it's bound to happen. The distance from Perth to Auckland is a tad long or can you see Perth players living on the East Coast.
Cheers big ears.![]()
Not really. The oval at Bunbury has recently been upgraded for the AFL games being taken there but thats about it. Bunbury would be ok for a pre season game but like NSO isnt fit to host an NRL game really.Outside of Perth, is there another suitable stadium in WA they could take a one off game to or even a trial? Considering that about a 100 people and some sheep live in regional WA I’m guessing the answer is no..
Welcome back to the madhouse lolHey PR, I see your still going strong with your quest to have a WA team, good effort.

Exciting stuff hey.Welcome back to the madhouse lol
re feeling of WA fans, most have accepted its this way or no way. Not ideal and most would prefer a stand alone genuine WA club but majority will get behind the Perth Bears.
In the city the clubs are quite well spread across the metro area. Theres a big uptake of the game in the new outer suburbs as east coasters move here and look for cheaper housing options. In regional WA the South West area has a pretty thriving Jnr club spread. There's also a fair bit of Rl happening in the far North.
Bottom is a list of WA and NS clubs showing jnr pathways and giving you an ide of where the WA clubs are based
Hopefully not! No SL war, NRL owning the club, backing of WA govt, a decent stadium to play out of, an arguably bigger RL fanbase. The pieces are in place for it to be a success this time.
Travel is always an issue for anyone in Perth! But we have about 10 Perth professional sports club that play in national comps so its clearly manageable.
Pathways will be through the NS set up plus WA development. WA govt is putting in an alleged $5mill a year to increase grassroots and create strong WA pathways.
No it will be a Perth club based in Perth, training at a new Perth Centre of excellence.
