Tomorrow @ 2pm AWST / 4pm AEST seems to be the word.
Funny enough, in a rare moment of insight (apart from what I see in here), I was told this earlier today as well ... but being busy at work has meant this is the first time I've been online to post it.

I work in aged care, so there are always TVs on. I'll make sure I'm next to a TV at 2pm tomorrow, as I won't be able to be in the city for that 6PR thing, and despite only working 7mins from HBF Park, I wouldn't have been able to make it there for the announcement should it have been an option.

As a lifetime passionate League man in WA, I've been waiting for tomorrow for a LONG time. So many false hopes over the years. I keep checking IP Australia but still haven't seen anything since the Western Bears thing fell in a heap. I suspect this means they haven't chosen a logo, ect, yet. I think I'm almost more excited to see what they go with moreso than the announcement tomorrow..!

Just kick em out!
Kick Manly out. 25 years later WA2 expansion team to be paired up with them. Sea Eagles and Bears local rivalry to reignite once again..!

For those unfamiliar with the Perth scene, there's a whole NOR vs SOR (north of river / south of river) thing that's been going on here for a long time. Plug this into it too, for the fun of it..!

What's wrong with them? Despite their feet stomping and waa-waahing, we are getting a team in the NRL.
And because the NRL competes with aussie rules and is getting even more successful over it, they don't like it.

It's all gone ahead regardless of their shit-canning of the idea.

Long live the NRL, and long live the Perth Bears.

And read the part of the article visible in that image. They hate that Perth's inclusion will boost the NRL's finances when we negotiate for the next TV deal.

The 'journalist' who wrote that clearly needs to do some actual journalistic investigating or research. He's written a very sour-puss opinion piece. Not a news article. According to him, Roger Cook is "forcing" WA taxpayers to "give" all $65million to the North Sydney Bears ... supposedly. Dude's going to have a fit when he finds out it's actually going to be $285million once you take into consideration the Malaga CoE and the HBF Park refurb in a few years.

I absolutely guarantee that if the WA government were giving aussie rules $65million for kids / juniors development, dickhead here would be totally fine with that. Might even be questioning why they weren't getting more.

But this is the shit we're getting used to by the only major newspaper here in the west. No doubt more to come, but this will be the peak tantrum time, because they didn't want the team / NRL and we got it anyway. Spoilt brat has to share his lollies. F**k him, f**k them, and they can all kiss our arses. The Perth Bears are here.

It’s quite bizarre… just about every newspaper has some political bias these days , but I’ve never seen this directed towards a sporting team before … can only assume that there is more to it than politics when elections have just been conducted at Federal and State levels over the past 60 days , and their side has been well and truly trounced in both… you think if anything they might be a little sheepish politically speaking …

Dont underestimate the influence that such a long term negative campaign can have amongst people with a casual or no interest in the sport, particularly for a new team where the sport has a small minority of interest … unfortunately they will have plenty of other opportunities to have a shot at the new teams on the field initial struggles you would think …

Front page or back page ?

Either way it’s huge publicity

People these days are smart enough to make up their own minds

Roy masters said way back league does well with negative and positive publicity

Is it a requirement to wear a footy jersey to partake in the festivities The Shoe? I might be late getting there from the office without time to slip one on.
