He was not representing the Roosters at the time.

He was representing QLD at the time.

QRL Code of conduct/NRL Code of conduct.... The rules/codes/penalties should be no different Kaz. AFL players are kicked out for life for breaching their Codes of Conduct. I'm not suggesting the same penalties should be applicable to League players, but we need to set some form of harsh penalty as a deterrent. After all we don't want our boys to head down the same road as those stupid over-drugged, alcohol and S.T.D. related illness ridden Yankie N.F.L. players.

AFL players are kicked out for life for breaching their Codes of Conduct. I

Actually the AFLPA Code of Conducte states that:

AFL Players must at all times behave in a sportsmanlike manner and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct so as not to compromise the integrity and dignity of AFL Football, the AFL, AFL Clubs, the AFLPA and other AFL Players.

Where an AFL Player commits a significant or serious breach, the AFL Player shall forfeit:

1st breach Forfeiture of up to $5,000
2nd breach Forfeiture of up to $10,000

The Roosters gave Chris Walker a far stiffer penalty than he would have got under the AFL code. If you're interested you can see it here.

You sure the AFL kicks out players for life for breaching their codes of conduct? In the last few weeks, two or three players have been busted for rec drugs. One has been booted out for repeat breaches, another was suspended for a week.

A player was done for DUI, and I think is only copping a week suspension.

Another player has been busted for being involved in a police chase. Don't know what the consequences are.
