For mine, top picks should only be used on tall kpp, midfielders and(possibly) very capable ruckmen.

& that is precisely were I would play him.

Hawhtorn will run with either Ayres or Harvey (sob, on both counts!)

Oh I feel your pain Kev! I don't know which is worse!

I was quite impressed with the Hawthorn board members yesterday though I must say, Derm certainly seemed confident you had won Terry over.

At least you can say it ain't Tony Shaw's assistant you have appointed

I haven't been impressed with the Hawthorn board all year...

Mind you, its bloody hard to operate effectively when you're consistently being bad mouthed and undermined in the media by a rebel faction.

Its very frustrating, given that (despite the current woes), a united club could present a good pitch to a potential coaching suitor.

Next year will have to be a stabilising year regardless, but given that Hawthorn's state-of-the art Waveley facilities will be completed during the year, and the disastrous back-ended player contracts will run out also, the club could be very well placed for finals football in 2006.

At least the Richmond board and its rebel faction have found some common ground enabling the club to work on important objectives (like wooing a coach) with some stability and confidence...

I don't think a rebel faction should put itself out there UNLESS it has a succession plan in place that's ready to roll!

The Hawk rebel group can't even confirm a future President for f's sake!!!

Maybe harvey can do it if he misses out to Ayres for the headjob :(

Hold the presses...

Now both Greg Miller and Terry Wallace are strenuously denying that a deal has been done. According to Miller, Richmond hasn't completedits interviews for the position (it has 2 scheduled for today); and as Wallace tells it, he is still weighing-up offers.

Given that Patrick 'Tosser Boy' Smith broke the story this morning, I wouldn't be surprised if its another of his Bomber-loving, Hawk-hating schemes aimed at destabilising our recruitment process!

Still, would've loved to have seen jason Dunstall's face when he read the story this morning

Smith didn't write that article, he only wrote one about how Browny's transition to a great club has been hard and this is finally a positive for him. Someone else wrote the above article.

Please god let it be true though, with the kids who have come through this year, Wallace and most probably picks 2, 5 & 7 (Ottens - They are stupid if they even attempt to resign him - Piss him off to the Crows) in the draft, the mighty club may finally be on it's way back.

Must say it was pleasing to pick up the paper and on the front page "Meet the new Richmond coach" with Wallace's head on there :) :) :)

For the record Kev, I was advocating dumping the heartless troll well before round 22..... My views are not based on him actually leaving.
