The damage onBird was actually done prior to Mulholland coming in. Mulholland started his time with us 2 months early in a bid to try and stop Bird from leaving, and was unable to do so.

All irrelevant now but out of interest who did Mulholland succeed?

Benny got it correct.
It was albert

I remember it was Albert as well. Anyone thinking Millward is doing a poor job should remember the the couple of years after Bennett.

When our signings consisted of such giants as Bronson Harrison, Daniel Vidot, Atela Vea, Denan Kemp, Josh Drinkwater, Will Matthews and the like.

Millward may have his detractors, but he’s definitely done his job for mine. A decent coach who knew how to make selections and develop talent could do wonders with our squad.

I'm pretty sure it was Craig Young doing our recruitment and retention immediately after Bennet, which was almost as much of a failure as his attempt at coaching.
Yeah, Young took over from Bennett, but Finch succeeded Young and Mulholland succeeded Finch, which was the original question.

Finch was never head of Recruitment. He was employed as ‘Football Manager’ or something to that effect for a couple of years. Mulholland replaced Young.
I can guarantee you that Finch replaced Young, Mulholland replaced Finch and Millward replaced Mulholland. lol

As above, Finch was never in the recruitment role. And TBH, neither was/is Millward - Young moved from recruitment to assistant coaching in 2015 and was replaced by Mulholland, then David Warwick as head of recruitment through 2016, while Finch was Director of Football Operations, replaced by Ben Haran in 2016. Millwards ‘Director of Pathways’ role came off the back of Finch leaving.
