Yeah, thats the problem. There are rumours but no substance at this point. Where there is smoke there is fire however, so lets just wait and see.

issue with smith perhaps? seems unlikely since he's the 1st string halfback... but i guess it could be the case given smith's track record with player management.

if it is a smithy issue.. the papers.. the forumers.. especially the eels supporters.. are going to have an absolute field day with it.

France could mean Les Catalans who lost Stacey Jones at the end of last season and haven't really found a replacement, or it could mean Toulouse, who are tipped to join the ESL next season and need to start building a squad.
If he is off to join our other guys at Trent Robinsons old club, Pia, he would be a real donkey.

I've had a look at a couple of French rugby league forums I frequent from time to time and there's no mention of Luke Walsh going to France. I dare say if it's true, it would be for Les Catalans in the ESL, but there's nothing on their fan forum either.....

I have had a look around and I can not find any source to establish that Walsh is moving to France.

Definitely going to France.

8 weeks tour of duty before returning to the Knights.

Good idea to build up his match fitness and timing. Would be a great if he comes back a better player. Dobson and Canberra did it last year with great success as Roopy has already discussed.

Its definitely better for our long term half to be playing in the UK Superleague to build up his confidence and timing after a disrupted offseason than against Neville Nobodies with the Central Knights.

Do we get a prop in return for 8 weeks to cover the loss of Cross and Sargent?
