Wanker : Talent ratio

Do you think Corey Parker is more talented than Dave Taylor?
About 3/5ths the natural talent, but 2 3/5ths the player that Dave Taylor has ever shown himself to be.

You seem to love physical talent. But there is something to be said for good old fashioned footballing ability, something Parker has in spades; not to mention that horrendously underrated mental side of the game.

Mental strength is what separates the Mike Tyson's from the Muhammad Ali's; the Vince Carter's from the Kobe Bryant's...it's a pretty big deal and not something you can just turn on and off.

I'd take one Corey Parker in my team over two Dave Taylor's every time.

It should also be noted that Parker led the league in off-loading in 2013 so he's not short of natural ability either. And that's something he developed through mental strength, dedication and application. Whereas Dave Taylor is still learning to count to two. Cognitive ability, it's kind of important on a footy field.

BJ Leilua - captain/coach of any wanker team following his 30 yard run-in and spray over an unconscious Storm player.

He's perhaps the worst human alive.

Sims isn't that bad. He gets a bit over the top with his aggression but that's about it. Never talks shit in the media or comes off as a wanker off the field. JWH seems full of himself on and off calling himself Hollywood Hargreaves
For the record, JWH is one of the nicest footballers you will ever meet. He is always willing to take the time to stop and have a genuine chat with any fan, rather than fobbing you off. He also does his share of charity work as well.

One of the genuine good guys in Rugby League. It's not a crime to be extroverted, which appears to have given you the wrong impression.

Brett White used to own this award, had no problem mouthing off in the media and was constantly trying to cheap shot blokes. Seems to have settled down now that he's gone to the Raiders. (or he's just become irrelevant, either or). I noticed Brian Norrie and Jaiman Lowe took over his role, but never quite reached his grubby heights.

If there was a Hall of Fame, surely Chris Walker would be up there. Fantastic speed, could have made a decent career for himself but burned too many bridges and never worked on his game as hard as he should have. In his prime, insufferable.

As far as really decent footballers go I recon Darius Boyd owns this thread.
Like he's good but the level of good he is, isnt remotely close to the level he thinks he is.

Id say his Wanker:Talent ratio out of 100 is
100:60

There is a host of really shit players who are real pelicans. Arana Taumata takes the cake though.

Pfft, no way Boyd has a ratio as high as 100:60. I'd say 5:3 at absolute most.

I'm going to nominate Sandor Earl. Hung around with Dugan and Ferguson so had a very high opinion of himself, but had about 10% of their talent.

You can also go back 5-10 years and nominate most of the Knights players. They saw themselves as demi-gods in a one team town like Newcastle. Josh Perry, Anthony Quinn, Daniel Tolar and Clint newton spring to mind.

f**king Ashton Sims will never forgive him for dropping the ball against the storm in the 2008 semi. The missus thinks I should get over it but I just can't hahaha.

I was just about to say, I'm surprised a Knights fan hasn't mentioned Clint Newton or Paterson yet.

First you need not to be a wanker and secondly have enough talent to play NRL before being qualified to judge what this thread asks. I've never been a NRL player but there's nothing wrong with the occasional wank

Natheel is still butthurt about Easts winning the comp and literally every single one of his predictions about us being wrong all year.

I vote Timana Tahu
