I was thinking the same thing - I found it very odd that he'd had his scan on Easter Sunday.

I reckon all it took was one person guessing it was definately his ACL again based on the replay, and everyone else has run with that persons word as if it were gospel. Let's just wait and see I say.

David Seage is in the Qld cup..

I know he is injury prone, but he is safe as any fullback ive seen, would love to see him re-ignite his NRL career :)

I rate seage but I dont rate his body, poor bugger has the talent but not the tools.

Actually, I wonder how he's been going in the Qld cup?

If he has gone relatively good so far this season he would definitely be worth looking at, just get him on match payments and he'll be worth it I reckon.

Really did suck that he got injured so much, everyone in Newcastle rated him but in the end didnt like having him because we couldnt rely on him to last the 80 for us.

EDIT: He scored a try in round 2 of Qld cup, his team won :)

David Seague. That's honestly an interesting option...

I'm looking forward to watching Dugan next weekend. 2 very good wins against top quality sides for our 20's team...I haven't seen them play yet so I hope you boys aren't bullsh*tting me around with the quality of this dude!

My information is Josh Dugan will be fast tracked into first grade this season. He looks a bit small to me though.
I think the forwards Kennedy, the lock Fensom and centre Carney look capable of stepping up with a few more games under their belts. Not too soon, but later on in the season.

In last weeks write up , they were saying Dugan was the superstar of the game ( against Newcastle) , scoring a try and setting up others, But he didnt get the best and fairest points, I couldnt work that part out.

Agree on Kennedy and Fensom, I have got my doubts on Carney though, looks to be a guy who has reached his peak physically and has that advantage in the Under 20's comp. Thought the other centre, James Stuart, had more potential.

Usually spot on Pete

I rate Dugan highly from the Panthers game and whilst he is small he has good evasive skills and can kick a goal

Fensom is one bloke i do think could make the step up late this year. Great talent.
Not sure on kennedy or Dugan, for mine they both need this entire year at U20's and gear them up in the off season for a crack at being a fringe FG in 09

Thompson is the only U20's player i can see playing FG this year, unless zilly has infact done his ACL as suspected and goodwin goes down injued aswell, then Dugan will be in with a real show to make his debut, but i agree with Parra Pete, looks alittle small at the moment, but he's only 17, a good off season in the gym and he might be there abouts for us

My little mate Levi Freeman must be ruing his decision to break curfew on the recent trip to Townsville. Levi was the first choice fullback, but he will find it hard to get another crack at the position, especially as Dugan has the added advantage of a perfect record with the boot.
Joel Thommo was quiet in the first 40 but had a bigger impact in the last 30. He is a good player who will make his mark in the Club. Big things just down the track a little..

But as I said, Dugan WILL be fast tracked, according to my information.

i've only seen one half (the second half against Penrith) of the Raiders U20s side - but they all look far too small for first grade at the moment.

Reminds me a bit of Croker - I bet he doesn't finish his career in the centres.
