Remember that the pyramids arent too difficult to build from a theoretical POV. Obviously we dont know for sure the exact method the egyptions used but ancient humans were mostly as smart as we are. Just not as knowledgeable about the world.

I think they probably used a very simple example of Pythagorean triangles to cut 90 degree angles. I dont think they fully understood the concept of a2 + b2 = c2 but they did know of the 3,4,5 triangle and one can use that to make square bases.

EDIT

I wont nerd up the thread but I just find it oddly disrespectful of humans that Warne a man who could sure spin a ball but isnt exactly a brain surgeon thinks ancient egyptions werent clever enough to build a pyramid. They have the exact same brain you have buddy.

I think you'll find the Egyptians were probably better equipped than Warne.

If that plastic merkin didn't have cricket, he'd be in the Centrelink queue at Ferntree Gully or he'd have starved to death.

Shane Warne accidentally admits cheating on Simone

Last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! saw Warne telling an anecdote about meeting Coldplay’s Chris Martin in a hotel elevator 16 years ago.

Warne said he met the rocker while trying to “sneak” a woman back to his room. But as detail-oriented fans were quick to point out, this happened in 2000, right in the middle of the playboy cricketer’s 10-year marriage to Simone Callahan.

“I'm in the lift. I've got someone with me,” Warne explained, adding: “I'm trying to sneak up to my room and I notice a guy in a corner. He also had someone.

“He [Chris] said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said, ‘I think I'm doing the same as you’,” Shane continued.

“I then went up to his room, we had a bit of a giggle ... we sat there and talked all night until the sun came up. “

“You know when you just click? Ever since then we've been good buddies.”

Warne was married to Simone from 1995 to 2005

I haven't watched but is he wearing his St kilda singlet to show the other contestants who is boss?

I havent watched it either, but MKR have been ahead by miles in the ratings at the same timeslot

For anyone who has been watching, is the show just a Warne the human headline act? Sounds like it pretty much from daily tabloids like msn

Once again another article bobs up in the media alleging Warnes charity and misappropriation of funds. Less than 24 hours later he once again creates a distraction with a crappy outburst.

Are you sure though? It was revealed last week off air he was allowed to smoke. We don't know if he has access to a phone off either.

I see you point.
The timing of his entrance into the jungle was well calculated. Granted channel 10 would have been chasing him for months. He could have planned for that with reports of his charity being investigated late last year. Knowing there would be an outburst with his charity shutting down he goes in. Well timed. A week later he rips into Steve Waugh to create another sideline. Well timed.
You could argue he is one the show to create headlines for ratings but his outbursts certainly at the moment are well timed to take the heat off his charity.

If Channel were begging him for months to be on the show and were rumoured to be paying him 2 mil, I bet there are a few off air concessions like smoking and checking messages.
Or when he goes off air for a smoke the producer could tell him of recent stories in the media about him to wind him up.
Its too coincidental with the timing of his rants.

This.

When I first read about how it was revealed thatsome of the celebs had access to ciggys (but just weren't filmed on camera smoking) after stating in the promos that they wouldn't have access to their vices, it makes me wonder whether producers off camera have notified Warne of what has been mentioned in the Australian media, hence Warne's spurious/outrageous claims to try and deflect attention from his charity. All this recent stuff about aliens sounds like it's blatantly manufactured.

Shane Warne bitten on the head by anaconda

CRICKET legend Shane Warne plunges headfirst into boxes of snakes on tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! — and scores a nasty snake bite to the head for his troubles.

After bravely facing boxes filled with African clawed frogs, scorpions, Madagascan hissing cockroaches and rats in search of stars, Shane is presented with a box of snakes. Host Dr Chris Brown warns the legendary spinner that with the scent of rat on his skin, the snakes could easily think he is their next meal. As Shane — who once cried because his daughter would not let him watch the Vince Vaughn comedy Dodgeball — lowers his head into the box, an aggressive anaconda strikes.

While hunger pangs gnaw at the stomachs of his camp mates, Shane battles his own pain in the quest to secure a star.

While the snakes used are not venomous, they are more than capable of delivering a nasty bite — and Warne, who believes that ancient alien experimentation turned monkeys into humans, is absolutely terrified of the creatures.

“Shane has made no secret that snakes are one of his greatest fears so it’s amazing that after being bitten he bravely continued with the trial,” executive producer Stephen Tate told theDaily Telegraph.

“When Shane puts his mind to a task, he won’t let anything stop him.”

The Daily Telegraph reports that medics treated the strike area with antiseptic and will monitor Warne for any signs of infection.

“The box contained anacondas, rat snakes and corn snakes. The juvenile anaconda is the one that actually struck Shane. It’s non-venomous but very aggressive. Anacondas have 100 rear-facing teeth. Being bitten by one is like getting 100 hypodermic needles at once,” a Network Ten spokesperson told news.com.au.

With a medic present at every trial, Warne received treatment as soon as the trial ended - and while he’s been left with some small marks, there will be no permanent scarring.

It’s been a rough week for the contestants on Ten’s reality series, who are all showing signs of stress: just yesterday, veteran actor Val Lehman collapsed and vomited immediately after winning a strenuous Tug of War challenge.
