Superclubs cannot exist in the modern NRL. Even the Broncos who have all the things going for them that they do, a massive league mad city to themselves, with a turnover close to double any other team in the comp, or in other words bigger than the Warriors will ever be, only has 1 premiership in the last 12 years.
Collingwood is the biggest thing in the AFL. Brisbane is the biggest thing in the NRL. Those are the kings of sport "in Australasia". The Warriors will never be there.
Gus thinks he's making Penrith the next superclub, Kearney thought that with Parra. The best you can hope for is being a regular top 8 team with a top 4 year in you every now and then with some luck. That's what Brisbane do.
Anyone saying the stupid things the Warriors are saying here, like Gould and Kearney at Penrith and Parra before them, are all talk.
FFS Rugby League isn't even the number 1 sport in NZ. It will never surpass their madness for Union. How are you meant to be the biggest club in a continent when you're not even the biggest thing in your town.
