Warriors player swap

Any chance of a player swap for the Warriors? The likes of Tui, Gibb, Allwood, Lino, even Manu - would be good players to trade with other clubs. We could get a big, hard running prop, a ball playing back rower, a centre.

Just don't make it another Lane vs. RFM swap as per last year.

Lane <-> RFM was just a punt because we were losing RFM at the end of the year anyway - no loss if Lane didn't work out.

I wouldn't trade Lino... we're going to be losing either Foran or Hingano (or if roster management is particularly terrible, both) at the end of the year and Lino's kicking game alone makes him a potentially handy 3rd half.

I doubt we could move Manu even for free... who is going to take on those wages for a winger at that age with that injury record?

Gubb is going at the end of the year and is at best a bit part at a decent club so his value will be minimal - and he plays in one of the two positions we need to fill (middle forward, outside back), so unlikely to find the right conditions to swap for another middle.

Allwood has no value.

Really only Tui from your list would have value as part of a speculation market for halves potential... even then, gotta find an interested party who has something we need and is willing to give it up to get Tui.

I'd think about shopping Bodene around, his value isn't likely to be huge... decent enough though. Ken (wishful thinking).

yep, I'd be putting Tui and Bodene in the shop window - given the media hype Tui might get a bit of attention, and at the moment pretty much anything is an upgrade

Despite the Warriors obsession with having Bodene in the starting 13, I think the level of interest would be sobering. Not too many other starting packs he'd be part of IMO

Tui is the only one with any sort of possible currency (and he's heading the way of the Zimbabwean dollar at the moment). I've looked across the comp and I can't see anyone who would play him as their first choice 6.

Best case scenario, someone like the Dogs picking him up as utility (cover 1 and 6 mainly and outside back cover), and giving us Eastwood or someone like that. Great deal for us if it could happen but can't see it.

Think the Dogs have enough disorganisation in the halves - Dragons as a bench utility?
