One Brian I will be cheering for . . . the Warriors coach deserves good to come to him. He's always been tossed in the deep end and never really given any benefit of the doubt

I gotta be honest. All I really care about is seeing Ukuma Ta'ai in the team.

Steve Rapira has really screwed up his luck with this latest injury.

-Sam Rapira is a sure thing once he's fit

-if Lousi and/or Ukuma fire, they will hold Steve Rapira out

-McClennan likes BAB (big angry benchies) so I am picking Ukuma to feature regularly this season

=no room for Stevie

Sorry to hear your news One Warrior. Hang in there.

Really surprised Krisnan Inu has been overlooked. Close to the best player on the park vs. Titans. Nevermind -- go Konrad, go boys!

Thanks Izz & Devoid, will be in Blenheim at weekend, will listen out for the result, it is not a Sky household, and anyway not why I will be there.

Terrible news OW =[ Deepest sympathies. Not something anyone should have to go through.

Can't believe I'm reading comments about how Bluey is pulling a Cleary. Maybe if Ropati/Hurrell are playing like ass come R5 but still getting selected over Inu then those similarities can be drawn. Till then, we have no idea who in the team is truly performing the best in certain areas, and no right to say Blueys selections are wrong.

There's obviously reasoning that Inu isn't in. I would tend to believe Bluey would have wanted to go for the player with more experience and use Hurrell further down the track..but either a) Hurrell has excelled to the point he cannot be overlooked b) Inu has wandered in and out of trials and offered little and c) bit of both. I'd suggest a fair bit of b) and almost as much of a)

I agree.

I think Ropo is being given the game to prove his fitness, and Hurrell & Inu fought out the other spot.

Hurrell has the momentum going into the game; Inu in Whangarei was a bit hot & cold. (So what's new?)

I don't want to lose Inu but he must be frustrating to coach.

Is Packer likely to stay in the starting lineup?

Can't say I'll miss Cleary selecting the team (Ivan the Terrible as he's known in some Fantasy circles....)

He and Mutts are the two experienced props in the side, so you'd think they'd both be starting.

However, Bluey might want to keep one of them on the bench so there's always one of them on the field at all times. Even then I'd probably say that Packer would be the one starting.

Game time to prove his fitness? Would have thought reserve grade was the perfect place to do that. If Ropati gets shown up today, which I certainly wouldn't be supirised if he did after half a game in 10 months then McClennan deserves to cop critcisim rather than everyone kissing his ass like it has been for the last few months.

Ropati will go fine I reckon but agree that the Bluey lovefest is a little premature. 30 mins till the season really begins. Yeehaa!

:lol: I rest my case. I can understand Hurrell getting selected over Inu to a degree but Ben Henry!?

Actually, Ropati's the one getting shown up.

Benry got owned on that backline move but it was a nice play and he was not helped by Mannering or Tupou at all.
