It was a good game, and will be seen as such after the initial emotion wears down. It's upsetting after waiting so long for round one to lose, but someone has to. And very frustrating to get a great crowd along at home to promote the game, only to lose-again. Disappointing.
Some good signs though, some glimpses makes me think it will be a year of entertainment. Some frustratingly sloppy moments though, and points gifted from brain explosions. But it's round one!
I wanted to win this one badly, for so many reasons- Eden Park, big crowd, Manly is our real bogie side...but shit happens. If I wanted to watch something I knew the outcome of I'd watch a romcom! ;-)
