Good point and IMO there really is little difference between the two but that little difference can make a big difference. The little difference is the attitude, the big difference is whether it is positive or negative.

Constant sniping generates negative responses resulting in claims of "overreaction", it is a cumulative effect much like chinese water treatment IMO.

Spartan made a fairly inocuous comment to begin with; something along the lines of: the official comment in regards to our trial match will be fairly predictable. Stagger probably over-reacted a bit, but was obviously fed up with Spartan`s record of making very negative (and unsubstansiated) comments - which is why he brought that other post into it as an example. Then Bartman waded in because he has an agenda. And then Pou Pou waded in because he likes an argument. It`s all very simple. I think Maroubra Eel got it right.

Boohoo we lost our first trial with a squad that's at most 30% of our full strength squad. I guess our seasons as good as done and dusted now?

f**k me.

Rather than talking about the correlation between trial performance and season performance I'd be more worried about Inu scoring.
