misty all i can say is we agree to dis agree about smith but we have one thing going is the want for the eels to succeed....

Look this is the scenario

2002.....10 wins...2 draws....12 losses

2003......11 wins...13 losses!!

I don't care what happened in 2001 or what he was at St George or when the last time he took a dump!!.....i just wan't to see Parramatta succesfull at present instead of all these hypotheticals & insinuations!!

Regardless of injury's we won the Club championship 7th year in a row...and before the Smith fans start pointing out because it was Brian smith......i put it to you it was more the work of Crusher Cleal and Parra's other recruitment personnal & the work of our junior coaches for having such talent avaliable at our door step......unfortunately like a professional Johovah Witness they where told where to go!!

I'll also point out that....if it wasn't for Brian we may have been able to utilise these yougsters performances instead of seeing the likes of Marsh, Clinton, Hindmarsh etc leave our club!!

The club Championship in ways is useless!!.....Brian wouldn't care because 95% of these players will have a new home at a new club in the very short distant future!!

Brian Smiths coaching ideas have reflected in Parra's performances in the last 2 years......stale & uninnovating.....does this remind you of your workplace......it does for me!!

As i've said in other topics......how many coaches have been at clubs for 7 years straight without achieveing a premiership???

Smith in '97 was the breath of fresh air that was going to rejuvinate the club. Well, it rejuvinated. Now,we need rejuvination again, as Smith's ways are not fresh. What can he now bring to the club that was missing in the last 7 years? What facet, or attitude, can he inject to make things different?

Successful clubs make the hard decisions. We are hiding from the one decision we have to make.

As you point out successfull clubs mak ethe hard decsions.....where made the decisions and we can't break even on the win/loss ration in the past 2 years!!

When Brian came to our club it was fantastic....and we really performed well as a coach but??....the last 2 years has seen a downhill spirral in player moral, innovation & coaching techniques & unjustified recruitment & retention!!

Parra up untill 2001 was always the benchmark when it came towards defense......always a good indication that you players are in the right frame of mind when your Defence is in order...particulary when you have the players at your disposal but??...this year we copped a number of 30, 40,50 conceaded on our defence!!

Club Champions......and we can't even make the top 8.....it's not rocket science to work out it's not the players!!

Don't think Premier League is included anymore? We only won it by one point this year. We won the Matthews and much have done better than the Raiders in the Flegg.
